In their own words
Epic River
Epic River provides digital signing and lending software for community banks and credit unions. Its borrower workflow combines identity checks, electronic signatures, and electronic notarization. Signing supports commercial, consumer, and agricultural loan closings as well as deposit account openings. Identity verification can use knowledge-based authentication, with optional facial recognition and government ID validity checks. Notarization options include remote, remote ink-signed, and in-person electronic services. The eVault tracks authoritative copies and supports integration for transferring, pledging, and selling documents. Epic River says it connects with over 100 bank systems, including document generation, imaging, eSign, and core systems, and supports current-generation cloud applications and legacy on-premise solutions. Its patient lending network connects healthcare providers with local financial institutions. The eSign module is white-labeled by Finastra as ProSign and integrated into most Finastra lending products. API access is listed. Pricing is on request.
NotaryCentral
NotaryCentral combines remote online notarization with an e-Journal, scheduling, invoices, payments, and business management tools for notaries. The searchable journal stores entries with thumbprints, signatures, and ID numbers, and supports PDF or full-data exports. Saving an entry creates a tamper-evident hash; the service says later edits cause it not to match. Journal entries can also be created offline, including while signed out, then synced when connectivity returns. Accounting tools generate year-end profit-and-loss, mileage, expense, and 1099/payment reports for CSV or PDF download. Booking links can offer availability, service fees, add-ons, signer intake, document uploads, and optional upfront payment. Payment settings list Stripe and Square, with optional Square card-payment integration for accounting. NotaryCentral says transmissions use SSL/TLS encryption and stored sensitive account information is encrypted and access-controlled. It also says it does not sell customer data, customer lists, or notarization records. Free tiers cover the first 15 RON signings; annual Business Tools is $10 a year, shown as $10.00/month.
