| AI data handling | Eqvista says identifiable client data is not used for AI training or model improvement, and AI-generated outputs remain subject to human oversight. | AI extraction runs only on documents explicitly submitted for extraction, fields are shown for review, and the maker says it does not train general-purpose AI models on customer documents or cap-table data. |
| Product | Eqvista combines equity management, in-house valuation services, and AI-powered company valuation for private companies. | Vquity is an equity-management platform for cap tables, funding rounds, SAFEs and convertibles, option grants and vesting, exit modeling, valuation tracking, data rooms, and stakeholder portals. |
| Security | Eqvista says its servers use AWS, data at rest is encrypted with AWS KMS, and data in transit is protected with TLS/SSL. | The maker says traffic uses TLS, data and uploaded documents are encrypted at rest by its cloud infrastructure provider, and workspace access is role-based. |

In their own words
Eqvista
Eqvista combines equity management, valuation services, and app-based company valuation for private companies. Its cap table tools track ownership and manage shares, options, SAFEs, and employee equity, alongside vesting schedules, compliance, and funding or liquidity scenario modeling. Governance and compliance features include board resolutions and voting, 83(b) elections, Rule 701, Form 3921, and ASC 718 support. Valuation offerings include 409A and fair market valuations, software and IP, gift and estate tax, ASC 820 portfolio valuations, and QSBS attestation letters. Real-Time Company Valuation provides an app-based estimate of common stock value for private companies; Eqvista says it does not replace a certified 409A valuation. Eligible companies can connect QuickBooks to send financial data into that feature, and the mobile app provides valuation insights on iOS and Android. The free cap table plan covers fewer than 20 stakeholders. Premium Cap Table costs $2 a month, billed per stakeholder; a valuation and cap table bundle is listed from $990 a year. Eqvista says it uses AWS, AWS KMS encryption at rest, and TLS/SSL in transit.
Vquity
Vquity is an equity-management platform for company cap tables, funding rounds, grants and vesting, data rooms, and stakeholder portals. It records holders, share classes, issuances, transfers, and repurchases. A round can combine SAFE conversion, an option-pool top-up, and a pre-close snapshot. The platform also covers SAFEs and convertibles, exit modeling, and valuation tracking.
Its data room sorts documents into 111 types and uses AI to draft fields for review, alongside a diligence-readiness score. Investor and employee portals use one-time email codes to show equity details, documents, and tax views. Vquity syncs with Vinance accounting and PeopleX HR; changes await human review and confirmation. Carta, Pulley, and AngelList information comes from exported files, not live API connections. It tracks the 409A/FMV process and expiry alerts, but users must bring a valuation from a provider. The maker says traffic uses TLS, stored data and uploaded documents are encrypted at rest, and workspace access is role-based; it does not currently hold third-party security certifications. A free plan covers one company and up to 10 stakeholders. Monthly costs $99 a month per company workspace.
