In their own words
EventPics
EventPics collects guests’ event photos and videos in a shared album reached by QR code or link. Guests can upload through a browser or app without creating accounts, and files can be downloaded in their original quality. Hosts can set separate viewing, upload, and download permissions, and choose to approve uploads before they appear in the gallery. New uploads can flow into a live slideshow shown in a browser on a TV or projector. The free plan includes 2 GB of storage, unlimited guests, automatic Google Drive backup, a REST API, and a Folder Uploader for photo booths and photographers. Free events expire after six weeks if started immediately, or four weeks after a planned event date; expired events have a seven-day recovery period. Premium starts at €4.99 per month for 10 GB, with larger storage plans listed. EventPics is available on Android, iOS, macOS, Windows, web, and through an API. It is aimed at weddings, birthdays, company parties, family celebrations, group trips, festivals, and other events.
Flickr
Flickr is an online photography community for managing, sharing, and discovering photos. Users can store and organize images, make galleries, and explore galleries from photographers they follow. Groups, contests, and a photography blog provide community activities, while daily curation and Creative Commons images support discovery. Privacy settings let users choose default visibility and control who can view, download, or interact with individual photos and videos. The mobile app can upload camera-roll photos and videos automatically, keeping them private until the user chooses to share them. Image recognition can find visually similar images and assist with search and organization. Users may authorize third-party apps to work with their accounts and later revoke access in settings. Flickr offers an API for non-commercial use; commercial use requires prior arrangement. The free plan permits 1,000 public photo and video uploads and displays ads. Flickr Pro costs $8 a month, billed annually, and includes unlimited full-resolution sharing and backup, ad-free browsing, detailed statistics, and enhanced privacy settings.
