In their own words
eWire
eWire helps startups prepare and distribute press releases. Users describe an announcement in plain language, and the service says 100 words is enough to start a draft. Its AI produces an AP-style release with a headline, dateline, body, boilerplate and contact section. Distribution can send a release to 500+ news outlets, Google News and eWire’s subscriber list, with pickup analytics; published releases may also travel through partner networks. The editorial requirements remain substantial: a genuine news announcement, AP style, at least 300 words and all required sections. The free plan costs nothing and includes AI drafting and scoring, unlimited drafts and PDF output, but no distribution. Starter costs $49 a month and includes four releases monthly. An API endpoint and Model Context Protocol server support AI-agent submissions and drafting or distribution without the UI. Draft text is sent to AI providers; unpublished drafts are deleted 90 days after their last edit, while published releases remain indefinitely as public record.
Newswriter.ai
Newswriter.ai is a web tool that uses OpenAI-powered generation to create search-optimized press releases. Users can start a release from a description or request ideas and alternative headlines for a draft they already have. For a new release, the site recommends a conversational description under 100 words. The completed press release is sent to the corporate email address the user enters. Suggested announcement types include product news, events, awards, milestones, partnerships, hires, funding, and published content. The free service includes a credit for distributing a release through Newsworthy.ai, and the site identifies SalesNexus as its email partner. Users need a valid email address, and unsubscribing from Newswriter.ai or Newsworthy.ai email services prevents delivery. The terms warn that generated text may contain errors or inaccuracies and place responsibility for checking correctness and possible plagiarism on the user. The privacy policy says user data may be stored for retrieval and editing, with processing automated and without human supervision. It also says information is not sold, rented, or otherwise made available to third parties, and describes SSL encryption and security efforts.
