MaxMind minFraud
MaxMind minFraud is a transaction risk API for businesses assessing online transactions and other activity. It returns risk scores and data to help businesses manage fraud, with real-time scoring that combines machine learning and fraud-expert heuristics. The score can inform whether to accept, reject, or review a transaction. Use cases include eCommerce payments, customer onboarding, incentivized online activity, and network security. The service describes more than 80 risk attributes related to IP addresses, email, devices, phone numbers, credit cards, and shipping addresses. Custom rules can label matching transactions for acceptance, rejection, or manual review without changing the score. Customers can submit reports about chargebacks, false positives, suspected fraud, spam, or abuse through the Report Transaction API. The API is described as lightweight, with flexible integration; device-tracking documentation covers web, Android, and iOS. A trial includes up to 1,000 queries.
