In their own words
Face++
Face++ provides computer vision APIs and SDKs for adding image analysis and recognition to applications. Its face capabilities include detection, 1:1 comparison, 1:N search, facial landmarks and facial attributes. The platform also lists body and skeleton recognition, gesture recognition, OCR, image beautification and photo album clustering. Liveness detection distinguishes a live face from a photo, video or mask to help prevent spoofing attacks. Face++ presents identity verification, eKYC and passport matching, ride-hailing driver verification, biometric retail payments and skin analysis as use cases. Its platforms include Android, API, iOS, macOS, web and Windows. The Face Landmark SDK supports Android, iOS, Windows and Mac, and can perform face detection, tracking and landmarking locally on mobile devices. The free API key has shared QPS limits: 3 total for facial recognition APIs, with Dense Facial Landmarks API limited separately to 1. The SDK trial offers one day of authorized online licensing, with up to five authorizations per day. The free plan is free; other listed billing options have no listed price.
Roboflow
Roboflow provides tools for building, deploying, and monitoring computer vision applications, from dataset preparation through model inference. Its dataset features include image annotation, video frame extraction, preprocessing, and augmentation; annotation types include boxes, polygons, segmentation masks, classification labels, and keypoints. Exports include JSON, XML, CSV, TXT, and more than 30 additional formats. A hosted inference API runs models on autoscaling infrastructure with load balancing and burst support. Deployment options include roboflow.js, NVIDIA Jetson, Luxonis OAK, iOS, self-hosting, VPC, and on-premise environments. The Free Tier costs nothing and includes 10 credits monthly, stated as enough for about 30 model trainings or 80,000 inferences. Core costs $39 a month, billed monthly, with 20 credits and a private workspace and models. The pricing comparison lists one model training at a time by default and 20 projects for Core. Roboflow states it encrypts data in transit and at rest and is SOC 2 Type 2 compliant; enterprise pricing is custom.
