Face26 vs PhotoApp

Face26 is an AI image-enhancement service from TechArt 26 LLC, founded in 2021 in Cheyenne, Wyoming. It improves and repairs image quality with tools for unblurring, denoising, face retouching, colorizing black-and-white images, and restoring old photos. Small, low-definition pictures can be upscaled 2× or 4× to HD. In the browser app, a user uploads a photo, applies enhancement with one click, and downloads the result to a computer or smartphone. Face26 runs on web, Android, and iOS, and lists developer APIs for background removal, object removal, enhancement, background generation, compression, colorization, ID photos, and cropping. A free plan is available; weekly, monthly, yearly, image-purchase, and lifetime plans are listed without prices. Uploads are retained only as needed unless consent is given for AI improvement, after which files are kept temporarily. SSL/TLS protects transfers, and account settings provide personal-data controls subject to deletion latency and legal retention.

PhotoApp uses AI to unblur, restore, and enhance photos, including low-quality images. Its listed tools sharpen images, reduce noise, restore old photos, enlarge images, correct colors, and improve faces and backgrounds. AI Photos and AI Avatar offer AI-generated photos, including images of the user. The maker says its iOS and Android apps can enhance photos and videos on the go, and that photos and videos can be enlarged up to 2x without compromising quality. Stated uses include social media, community content, printed images, e-commerce, learning content, and magazine pictures. PhotoApp is listed for Android, iOS, macOS, and web; Apple describes the iOS app as iPhone-only and not verified for macOS. The maker says the main features will remain free. The Free plan costs nothing, with no usage limits specified by the maker. Weekly and lifetime subscriptions are also listed; the lifetime price appears in the application. Weekly subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the period ends. Google Play states that the app may share photos and videos, app activity, and other data types; it also says data is not encrypted and cannot be deleted.
