Overview

ParishSOFT is a suite of church-management products for Catholic parishes, dioceses, schools, and ministry organizations. It suits organizations that want parish administration, accounting, giving, and ministry tools that can work together. Its breadth is a strength, but online giving requires ParishSOFT Giving or another giving service; Family Suite alone does not provide it.

Key features

ParishSOFT Families manages household and member records, sacramental information, parish communications, and reporting. Family Suite adds offering, pledges, religious education, and ministry scheduling. That range can support much of a parish’s day-to-day administration, but buyers should confirm which products their organization needs rather than assume one package covers every function.

Family Suite Offering can connect to ParishSOFT Accounting to create deposits and map offering funds to revenue accounts. Accounting also supports budgets, payroll, purchasing, and financial reporting; ParishSOFT describes it as GAAP compliant and secure web-based fund accounting. The connection is useful for carrying collection data into accounting, while parishes with particular accounting requirements should assess its fit before committing.

ParishSOFT Giving supports online and recurring donations, payment forms, giving reports, and contribution and pledge tracking. Family Suite can link parishioners to a parish’s online-giving website, but does not itself provide online giving. That separation makes the product choice important: parishes seeking donations through ParishSOFT need to consider Giving, not just Family Suite.

MinistryOne provides a mobile channel for digital giving, media, event management, prayer requests, group messaging, and push notifications. It integrates with ParishSOFT Giving and Facility Calendar, and can connect to YouTube and Vimeo for media. ParishSOFT also offers group management, event registration, child check-in, SMS messaging, and volunteer scheduling. Its Safe Environment Program integrates with Protect My Ministry background-check services. Release notes refer to an API for updating family records.

Support includes a live support center, online resource library, support tickets, and professional services such as consulting, data services, and implementation. That range is relevant to organizations preparing to configure and adopt connected tools, though the consulting plans are paid separately.

Pricing

ParishSOFT is paid, with product pricing on request. ParishSOFT Giving has custom pricing; prospective customers can start with a free 30-day trial. The trial gives a parish a defined period to evaluate Giving, but no trial is stated for the other products.

Plan	Price	What it includes
ParishSOFT Giving Consulting Plan	250.00 USD per once	2 hours of consulting, a dedicated consultant, and training for forms, pledges, events, and MinistryOne
Family Suite Guided Consulting Plan	900.00 USD per once	4 hours of consulting, self-paced learning, a dedicated consultant, and online learning access
Family Suite Basic Consulting Plan	1700.00 USD per once	8 hours of consulting, a dedicated consultant, and implementation support
ParishSOFT Accounting Basic Consulting Plan	1700.00 USD per once	8 hours of consulting, a dedicated consultant, and implementation support
Family Suite Standard Consulting Plan	3200.00 USD per once	16 hours of consulting, a dedicated consultant, and implementation support
ParishSOFT Accounting Standard Consulting Plan	3200.00 USD per once	16 hours of consulting, a dedicated consultant, and implementation support

These are one-time consulting packages, not prices for the software itself. The lower-hour options suit organizations needing focused guidance; the 16-hour plans provide more consulting and implementation support. Since the core product pricing is on request, organizations should ask for a quote covering the products and services they intend to use.

Platforms

ParishSOFT supports web, Android, and iOS, and lists an API. MinistryOne provides the mobile app experience; Accounting and Offering are described as web-based. Confirm which platform access applies to each product in the proposed package.

Who it's for

ParishSOFT is aimed at Catholic parishes, dioceses, schools, and ministry organizations in the United States and Canada. The maker says it serves more than 185 dioceses and 12,000 parishes across those countries. Organizations looking for connected parish records, finance, giving, and ministry functions are the clearest fit; those needing online giving should include Giving or another service in their plans.

Pros and cons

Connected parish workflows: Family Suite Offering can create Accounting deposits and map funds to revenue accounts, reducing separation between offering and accounting work.
Broad ministry coverage: Records, sacramental information, education, scheduling, giving, and mobile communication span multiple products, which can suit organizations seeking a coordinated toolset.
Online giving is a separate choice: Family Suite only links to a parish giving website, so it does not meet online-giving needs on its own.
Core pricing requires a quote: Product prices are on request, making it harder to compare total costs before speaking with the maker.

Alternatives

For a different church-management option, consider CDM+, which has a 25.00 USD per month Essentials plan for one program and one user, alongside Android, iOS, MacOS, web, and Windows support. Church Windows starts at 19.00 USD per month for one desktop module, with a 12-month contract; it may suit buyers seeking a priced module subscription. FellowshipOne is another paid church-management product with Android, iOS, MacOS, web, and Windows support, but its pricing is on request.

For a payroll-focused choice, IconCMO Payroll starts at 40.00 USD per month as an add-on to an accounting or membership and donation package and allows unlimited employees. OnPay charges 49.00 USD per month plus 6 USD per worker per month and includes unlimited pay runs and schedules, W-2s, 1099s, and year-end filings. Patriot Payroll offers Basic Payroll at 8.50 USD per month for unlimited payrolls, employee and contractor pay, and direct deposit.

Church Payroll Software, Church Volunteer Management Software, Church Facility Management Software, Church Management Software, Church Directory Software, and Church Accounting Software are category lists for comparing options by need.

Verdict

ParishSOFT is a strong candidate for Catholic organizations that want parish records, accounting, giving, and ministry tools connected across products. Its broad coverage and offering-to-accounting connection are compelling reasons to consider it. Look elsewhere if you need a single product with transparent software pricing or expect Family Suite alone to handle online donations.
