Fameelee vs Family Beacon

Fameelee has no write-up on Specifiction yet; its figures are above.

Family Beacon provides live family location sharing through an Android app and web map. Users share with specific Gmail addresses and can revoke access at any time. The map displays live markers, movement trails, last-seen times and battery levels; an SOS button alerts everyone on the sender's share list through the app and web map. Location updates use ECIES with P-256 and AES-256-GCM encryption separately for each recipient device, and private keys are generated and stored only on user devices. Ordinary location ciphertext is deleted after 48 hours, while SOS alerts are deleted after 7 days. Private movement history stays on the phone for up to 14 days; enabled shared history is retained on the server for about 3 months. Google Sign-In is the only sign-in method. Premium unlocks messaging, permitted family-history viewing, sharing with more than 10 people, Safe Zones, alerts, phone ringing and activity summaries. Those summaries can send locally generated plain-language facts to Anthropic without coordinates or addresses. The free plan includes live location sharing and SOS. The service says it has no advertising or analytics SDKs, does not sell data and does not track non-users.
