Plans
In their own words
Famnest
Famnest is a family organizer app combining shared calendars, meal planning, health tracking, and subscriptions. Its shared calendar can sync with Google Calendar, while lists, to-dos, chores, and routines help coordinate household tasks. Meal planning includes recipes, and the meal planner describes AI recipe generation based on available ingredients and preferences. Famnest AI, called Mary, answers questions using family data; Premium subscribers receive unlimited questions. One subscription covers the whole family, with no stated limit on member count. The free plan includes shared to-dos, a family calendar, chores and routines, meal-planning basics, and recipes. Premium costs $6.99 a month and adds Google Calendar sync, unlimited health records, documents, chores, meal plans, and recipes. Previously loaded content can be viewed offline, but syncing, AI, and most real-time updates need internet access. The app is available on Android, iOS, macOS, and the web. Its privacy policy says data is stored on EU-based servers and encrypted in transit and at rest; some AI requests may send limited information to Anthropic Claude or xAI Grok for processing.
KIN
KIN is a shared family calendar for keeping household schedules together on Android and iOS. Family members can create or edit plans by holding to talk for voice input or by typing natural-language requests. The shared timeline combines events, reminders, to-dos, recurring plans, and assignments. People can filter the timeline by family member and apply privacy controls to individual events. KIN does not currently import or synchronize Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook, or other external calendars. Its privacy policy says voice and typed requests are sent to Cartesia for speech-to-text and Google Gemini for interpretation after in-app permission, with Groq and OpenAI listed as backup speech-to-text providers. KIN says it stores data with Supabase, uses reasonable security measures, and does not sell, trade, or rent personal data. It warns that speech recognition and AI interpretation can make mistakes, so users should check dates, times, recurrence, assignments, and reminders. The Free plan is listed at free, while future paid subscriptions or features may be introduced.
