In their own words

Fantasaur

Fantasaur creates personalized AI bedtime stories for parents to share with children. To shape a story, users choose four emojis and one of eight morals, then enter character names. Each story includes a unique AI-generated illustration and can be read or heard with natural-sounding narration. In interactive mode, a child can influence what happens next, scene by scene. Fantasaur supports 18 languages and is available as a web app on major mobile and desktop browsers and through Google Play on Android. The service is designed for parents to create stories with children, not for unsupervised use by children. Fantasaur says it uses content guardrails intended for bedtime storytelling, while also stating that generated stories are not reviewed by human moderators. A seven-day free trial is offered with no charges during the trial; no price is listed in the facts. The site lists [email protected] as its contact email.

FireQuill

FireQuill is a web-based long-form writing system for novels, non-fiction, podcasts, documentaries, games, and musicals. It combines a story bible with generation that tracks characters, continuity, and voice. Its character engine follows characters’ voice, psychology, knowledge, relationships, and arc scene by scene, then proposes changes for the writer to accept or reject. Eight specialist validators cover developmental and line editing, plot, continuity, argument, evidence, counterargument, and audience fit; they flag issues rather than rewriting text. Non-fiction writers can upload PDFs, documents, and notes so chapters can draw on retrieved passages. Export options include Markdown, Word, EPUB, KDP-ready EPUB, print PDF, Fountain, Final Draft, and libretto formats. The free plan is free for two projects and has no AI. Companion costs $10 a month; Author is $20 a month; Studio is $30 a month. Audiobook and podcast narration are pay-as-you-go add-ons on any paid plan. FireQuill says it does not sell user content or train public models on it, but sends relevant writing to AI providers when users request generation or checks.
