In their own words
Fareclock
Fareclock is a workforce platform for time tracking, attendance, scheduling, multi-site coordination, and payroll calculations. Employees can clock in through smartphones or kiosks, with verification by facial recognition, PIN, QR code, or NFC tag. Mobile clock-ins and clock-outs can be recorded offline and synced when a device reconnects. GPS tracking and geofencing let administrators control where employees clock in; Premium adds live GPS and breadcrumb history. The scheduling tools cover shifts, pay-rate adjustments, and overtime rules. Its payroll calculator handles standard hours, overtime, pay rates, and job-based pay, while reports cover hours, job costing, labor costs, and overtime. Administrators can assign jobs and cost codes to track time against projects or phases. Fareclock lists Android, iOS, Linux, macOS, web, and Windows access. There is no free plan, but a 30-day trial is available. Annual pricing starts at $1.38/user/mo; Pro is listed at $1.65 per user per month plus an $11.00 base fee, billed monthly, and Premium at $2.50 per user per month plus a $17.00 base fee, billed monthly.
Rhumbix
Rhumbix is a field-first workforce management platform for construction, giving contractors visibility into labor and job costs. Its tools capture payroll-ready timecards, track clock-ins, hours, overtime, and mandated breaks, and let workers use a shared kiosk device with identifiers such as PIN codes. Field workflows include production and time-and-materials tracking, daily construction reports, labor compliance reporting, and configurable customer forms. Phone users can capture timecards offline and sync them after reconnecting. Field Analytix provides reporting and performance insights; Data Explorer builds custom reports and dashboards without code. Rhumbix lists connections with Procore, Autodesk, Oracle, SAP, Sage, Viewpoint, COINS, QuickBooks, and ComputerEase, including bidirectional flows with ERP and project-management systems. Nearly all data has public REST API endpoints, and standard file exports are available. It supports Android, iOS, API, and web. Pricing requires contacting Rhumbix, and each login counts as a user license. Rhumbix says it is SOC 2 Type 2 compliant and encrypts data in transit and at rest.
