Overview

Fit It On spans two related jobs: producing fashion imagery from product photos and letting shoppers preview garments on themselves. That breadth is useful for brands building a visual pipeline and an on-site try-on experience in one platform. The trade-off is that those workflows have separate plan structures and usage limits, so buyers should choose around their primary use rather than assume one quota covers everything.

Key features

Product to Model creates an on-model garment image from a single product photo, which can reduce the need to arrange a photoshoot for that asset. The studio also includes prompt try-on, pose control, ghost mannequin and angle generation, background removal, quality enhancement, and image-to-video. These tools cover several stages of fashion-image production, but credit consumption varies: virtual try-on takes 1–3 credits, image generation 1–5, and video 6–12 depending on settings or duration. Video-heavy work can therefore use an allocation much faster than still-image work.

Users can create AI fashion models or upload faces to reuse models across designs, a practical option for maintaining a recurring look. Shopify merchants can place a try-on widget on product pages as a floating icon or inline button. The API provides REST endpoints for image generation, virtual try-on, and custom model creation, with asynchronous jobs and webhook support, making it relevant to teams building a more tailored integration.

Fit It On says try-on photos are not used to train general AI models and can be deleted from the user gallery. Its Shopify app uses TLS/SSL for data in transit and AES-256 for data at rest. Store and customer data is deleted within 180 days after uninstall, with immediate deletion available on merchant request.

Pricing

The free Shopify plan costs 0.00 USD and is free forever. Its 30 monthly try-ons and email support make it a low-risk way to add a basic widget, but it lacks the customization and analytics included in paid Shopify tiers.

Shopify Starter is 9.00 USD per month, billed $90/year with 17% savings. It raises the cap to 100 try-ons per month and adds dashboard analytics, full customization, and a floating icon. Shopify Growth is 49.00 USD per month, billed $490/year with 17% savings, for 650 try-ons, user analytics, priority processing, and Starter features. Shopify Enterprise is 149.00 USD per month, billed $1,490/year with 17% savings, for 2,000 try-ons, Growth features, chat and email support, and dedicated support. These tiers suit stores according to expected try-on traffic; the free and Starter caps are the main constraint for busier shops.

Studio Starter is 15.00 USD per month, billed $150/year with 2 months free. It includes 150 credits per month, one team member, 4K image generation, all image-generation tools, preset models, video generation, custom model creation, and email support. Studio Pro is 29.00 USD per month, billed $290/year with 2 months free, and doubles the allocation to 300 credits while allowing two team members and adding priority processing. Studio Agency is 69.00 USD per month, billed $690/year with 2 months free, for 1,000 credits, five team members (more on request), and dedicated support alongside the other studio tools. Starter is the entry point for an individual creator; Pro is better suited to a small team, while Agency fits a studio with heavier production needs. The limited seats and credit-based usage matter most when videos or frequent generation are part of the workflow.

Platforms

Fit It On runs on the web and offers an API. The Shopify app supports store-page widget placement, while the API supports custom development through REST endpoints and webhooks.

Who it's for

Choose Fit It On if you run a fashion ecommerce business and want to pair generated product imagery with shopper try-on, or if you are a creator or studio that needs reusable models and several image and video tools. It is less compelling for a team that needs a large volume of video output on a small credit budget, or a store whose try-on demand exceeds its chosen monthly cap.

Pros and cons

Pros: A single product image can become an on-model visual, avoiding a photoshoot for that image.
Pros: The Shopify widget offers floating-icon and inline-button placement, with paid tiers adding higher try-on limits and customization.
Pros: API endpoints, asynchronous jobs, and webhooks support custom integration workflows.
Pros: The privacy policy says try-on photos are excluded from general-model training and can be deleted; Shopify data protections and post-uninstall deletion terms are also defined.
Cons: Studio use is metered, and video costs 6–12 credits per generation, making intensive video production a potential drain on monthly credits.
Cons: The Shopify Free plan is limited to 30 monthly try-ons, while the least expensive studio plan has only one team member.
Cons: The lower Shopify tiers provide email support; dedicated support is reserved for Enterprise on the Shopify side and Agency on the studio side.

Alternatives

Kreavo is worth considering if a free starting allocation is the priority: its free plan includes 150 credits per month, selected image models, one AI influencer, three products, and five scenes. Modelia may suit someone who wants a free entry tier with 20 monthly credits, up to 2K output, one seat, and a watermark. On-Model is another freemium option with a free plan of 75 credits; it is described as a PiktID product focused on generative AI visual content.

Bandy AI is a web-based alternative with a free tier and a template-oriented offer. Catwalk.AI is a fit for shoppers seeking an iOS or macOS try-on app, with one-time packs of 10 try-ons for 9.99 USD or 100 for 99.99 USD. FASHN AI offers Android, iOS, web, and API access; its free plan grants 10 complimentary credits, while Basic is 19.00 USD per month for 200 monthly credits and 720p AI video. Flair.ai has a free web and API plan with one custom model, five generated images, and one video generation. No Shoots offers a free full studio workflow, but its free outputs are watermarked, expire after seven days, and have no commercial license or top-ups. For a broader comparison, browse AI Fashion Model Generators.

Verdict

Fit It On is a strong choice for fashion brands that want generated product imagery alongside Shopify try-on, especially when API access or reusable models matter. Its clearest advantage is the range of connected workflows; its main limitation is that both try-on volume and studio production are capped. Look elsewhere if your expected video or store try-on volume would routinely outgrow the relevant monthly allocation.
