In their own words
FAudio
FAudio is a free reimplementation of XAudio for open platforms, made for the FNA project. It implements the DirectX Audio runtime libraries XAudio2, X3DAudio, XAPO, and XACT3, and is intended for FNA's Audio and Media namespaces through FAudio#. It depends on SDL 3.2.0 or newer and says it does not explicitly use the C runtime. Build instructions cover Unix-like systems, Windows, Xbox GDK, iOS, tvOS, and macOS universal binaries. The project directs Unix-like builds to CMake, Windows builds to the visualc directory, Xbox GDK builds to visualc-gdk, and Apple builds to Xcode. FAudio includes unit tests intended to check whether its XAudio2 behavior matches XAudio2, but those tests are not built by default. The project lists Windows, GNU/Linux, macOS, and iOS/tvOS among its host platforms. It is released under the zlib license, which permits commercial use subject to its stated conditions. The project directs users to GitHub Issues to report problems and patches.
Winlator
Winlator is a free, open-source Android application for running Windows x86_64 applications with Wine and Box86 or Box64. It uses a translation-and-runtime model and lists DirectX 9, 10, 11, and 12 support, plus Vulkan and Steam integration. The project credits Mesa drivers including Turnip, Zink, and VirGL, along with DXVK and VKD3D. Gamepad input is supported. Individual settings can be assigned to games through shortcuts on the home screen. Release 11.2 added an XInput extension for raw input and a memory-saving option for Steam games. Release 11.0 added experimental Gladio, an OpenGL-through-GLES wrapper, and installation of graphics components from a file. The README suggests changing the Box64 preset when instability occurs and increasing ALSA or PulseAudio average latency for audio crackling. Installation starts by obtaining the APK from GitHub Releases and launching it. The repository lists LGPL-2.1 licensing, and the developer is identified as BrunoSX.
