Favicon Generator API
Favicon Generator API fetches a website’s favicon through one endpoint and returns an image or JSON response. It requires no authentication, API key, rate limit, or hidden-cost payment. The service searches page link tags, web manifests, and common favicon locations, ranking candidates by quality. Image responses can be PNG, JPG, or WebP, with requested resizing and a default size of 64 pixels. Requests may include a fully qualified fallback-icon URL when no favicon is found. The project is open source on GitHub and can run on your infrastructure with Docker or Bun. Its repository describes CDN or proxy caching with Cloudflare, BunnyCDN, KeyCDN, Nginx, and Caddy. Platforms listed are API, self-hosted, and web. The stack uses TypeScript, Hono, and Bun. Vemetric identifies Dominik as solo founder; seriouscode GmbH is the named legal entity in Austria.
