Favicon.now vs MumenLabs Favicon Generator

Favicon.now is a free web tool for creating, inspecting, validating, and packaging favicon assets. It accepts images, SVG, text, or emoji; text input is positioned for initials, monograms, new brands, and placeholders, while image input suits logos and existing artwork. The editor previews icons in browser-tab, search-result, and home-screen contexts at 16, 32, 48, 180, 192, and 512 pixels. A standard package includes SVG, multi-resolution ICO, PNG fallbacks, Apple touch icons, ordinary and maskable PWA icons, a web manifest, HTML, and documentation. Downloads can use folder structures for Standard, Next.js App Router, Vite, Nuxt, SvelteKit, Angular, Django, or Flask. Its versioned API accepts raster files up to 8 MiB and returns a favicon ZIP. Editing and preview rendering run in the browser, while packaging handles the rendered square and optional sanitized SVG in memory. Generators, downloads, checkers, and guides require no account; Google sign-in is optional for saved projects and dashboard features. Saved projects are private by default, with an owner-enabled random sharing link. Public-site checks block localhost, private address ranges, and other non-public network targets.
