Overview

MockupFit is a web and API service for generating apparel designs from text prompts, previewing them on garments and preparing Printful exports. It suits designers and sellers who want those steps in one workflow. Its free tier covers mockups and exports, but not AI generation.

Key features

Prompt-generated artwork can be placed on garment previews with an editor for dragging, resizing and rotating designs. AI try-on previews and a reusable design history support exploring and revisiting concepts across garments. That makes MockupFit useful for apparel visualization, though its raster output is a poor fit for work that depends on vector files.

Transparent PNG exports are sized for Printful, including a stated 4500×5400px size. Users can upload PNG, JPG or WebP images up to 10MB; generated video is MP4. The Printful-oriented export is a practical advantage for sellers using that service, but it does not make MockupFit a general-purpose vector design tool.

The terms say users retain ownership of uploaded artwork and own output images generated using it, including for commercial use. The privacy policy describes encryption in transit and at rest and Cloudflare Turnstile bot protection. Account and generated content remain while an account is active; uploaded images used for generation may be deleted after processing.

Pricing

The Free plan is free and includes unlimited garment designs, live previews, mockup downloads and Printful export, but no AI credits. It is a useful way to prepare and visualize existing artwork; prompt generation requires a paid option.

For occasional generation, one-time packs avoid a monthly commitment: 200 credits cost 15.00 USD per once, 800 cost 49.00 USD per once, 2,000 cost 99.00 USD per once, and 5,000 cost 199.00 USD per once. Their credits never expire, making them better suited to irregular projects than subscriptions.

Pro costs 29.00 USD per month and provides 600 credits/month, Standard and HD quality, preset models, photo uploads and email support. It is the entry subscription for recurring individual work. Business costs 79.00 USD per month for 2,000 credits/month, all quality tiers, HD and Ultra HD video, a priority generation queue and priority support; the higher allowance and queue priority suit heavier team or brand workflows. Enterprise costs 199.00 USD per month and includes 6,000 credits/month, Ultra HD, API access, bulk export and dedicated support, a stronger fit for scaled or integrated production.

Subscription credits refresh each billing cycle and do not roll over, so unused monthly allowance is lost at the boundary. One-time pack credits do not expire, favoring buyers whose demand varies. The free plan has no AI credits, while the paid subscriptions add generation capacity and quality or workflow features as tiers rise.

Platforms

MockupFit runs on the web and offers API access. The API is included with Enterprise, so buyers seeking that integration should account for the $199.00 USD per month tier. No desktop or mobile app platform is identified.

Who it's for

MockupFit is aimed at designers, e-commerce users, teams and brands, as well as gift makers. It is strongest for people who need prompt-based apparel concepts, garment previews and Printful-ready raster files together. It is less suitable when vector artwork is central or when a subscription's expiring credits do not match an uneven workload.

Pros and cons

Pros: Free garment previews, mockup downloads and Printful exports let users work with existing art without buying AI credits.
Pros: One-time credit packs never expire, which helps occasional users avoid losing unused subscription credits.
Pros: Commercial ownership terms cover both uploaded artwork and generated output using that artwork.
Cons: Free includes no AI credits, so prompt-based design generation requires a paid purchase.
Cons: Subscription credits expire at each billing-cycle boundary, limiting the value of unused allowance for intermittent work.
Cons: Raster output does not serve vector-dependent production workflows.

Alternatives

For a broader list of apparel design tools, browse T-Shirt Design Software. Choose FastEditor instead when a paid apparel editor with a free trial and Promidata, Shopify or WooCommerce connectivity is the priority; its Connect plan costs 95.00 EUR per month plus €4.00 per production file. Kittl is a web-based freemium option with 5 projects and 100 one-time AI tokens on its free plan, a better starting point for general design work.

Screenhance Apparel Mockup Generator is worth considering for browser or extension-based mockups when three monthly exports at 1x resolution are sufficient on its free plan. Pick w3D instead if an iOS app is the priority. ClozDesign suits users who want a web-based apparel workflow with three free projects and exports reserved for Pro.

Mock It is another web freemium option, with a 7-day trial before its Standard monthly plan at 11.99 USD per month. inkXE may suit buyers seeking a paid product available across web, desktop, mobile, API and self-hosted platforms; its Essential plan is a 2999.00 USD one-time payment. For a free online T-shirt designer with JPG and PNG uploads up to 10 MB, consider Printonator.

Verdict

MockupFit is a strong choice for apparel designers and sellers who want prompt-generated concepts, garment previews and Printful-sized exports in one service. The free mockup workflow and non-expiring credit packs accommodate users with existing art or irregular needs. Look elsewhere if vector files are essential, or if you need monthly AI credits to carry over unused capacity.
