In their own words

FeedbackPulse

FeedbackPulse brings employee pulse surveys, eNPS, 360 feedback, and lightweight performance reviews into one web platform. Teams can customize and schedule surveys, segment them by team, location, or tenure, and benchmark results against industry peers. Survey results remain hidden until at least three people respond. Optional AI-assisted analysis can summarize feedback and identify themes, and administrators can switch AI features on or off. Slack supports survey invitations and reminders, while AI assistants can access the platform through MCP; native API support is being prepared for a future release. The Free plan costs $0 per month and is limited to 10 employees and five active or scheduled surveys. Pro costs $4 per employee per month billed annually, or $5 billed quarterly. Max costs $8 per employee per month billed annually, or $10 billed quarterly. Larger teams can try Pro free, though no trial duration is stated. FeedbackPulse says its production hosting and backups use EU infrastructure, data is encrypted at rest with AES-256, and it offers a Data Processing Agreement as a GDPR-compliant processor. Its focus is employee feedback, not payroll, benefits, time off, or recruitment.

Pulse HR

Pulse HR is an open-source workspace for individual contributors, focused on status, growth, recognition, and wellbeing. Its listed surfaces include Status Log, Growth, Kudos, Moments, Workload check-in, Leave journal, Pulse, and People Insights. Status Log supports written async standups in a three-line-per-person team feed with a manager-safe sentiment recap. Growth brings achievements, challenges, skill paths, and kudos together; Kudos supports peer recognition with reasons, teammate coins, and leaderboards that reset weekly, monthly, and yearly. Workload check-ins show managers an eight-week trend rather than individual responses, and the anonymous weekly Pulse mood heatmap appears only when at least three people respond. The product is intended to run alongside an HRIS, not replace it: it does not cover payroll, time tracking, recruiting, project allocation, or document e-signature. It can be self-hosted with Docker or Kubernetes, with Helm and Terraform support. The site describes a REST API, webhooks, and TypeScript, Python, and Go SDKs. The PWA works on macOS, Windows, iOS, and Android, with some recent views and drafts available offline. The public demo is frontend-only and its records stay in the browser.
