Overview

FeedWind is for site owners who want to embed changing feed content without building a display themselves. It is most compelling when several RSS feeds or calendars need to share one widget; its low-cost tiers keep quotas tight, while faster updates and more control require a paid plan.

Key features

Sources and embedding

Widgets cover RSS, Facebook, Google Calendar, X, Instagram and YouTube, with TikTok also announced on the homepage. RSS feeds or calendars can be aggregated, up to 20 URLs in a widget. Installation is a copy-and-paste code snippet, and FeedWind names WordPress, Weebly, Wix and Squarespace among supported platforms. That makes it a practical fit for existing sites, rather than a standalone publishing destination.

Display controls and refresh

Responsive layouts, text and thumbnail choices, card or HTML styles, scrolling, time zones and date/time formats give site owners useful control over presentation. Pro and Plus add keyword filtering, custom CSS and custom URL parameters, which matter when a widget must fit a site's design or show a narrower slice of content. Content moderation and custom styling are also offered.

The plan limits define how useful a widget is at scale: Free refreshes every 12 hours, Basic every five hours, Pro every 15 minutes and Plus every five minutes. Even the fastest tier is not an instant feed, but Plus is the clearest option for frequently changing displays.

X restrictions

X widgets are limited to one account and 15 tweets per widget, refresh every 24 hours, and can show only posts from the preceding seven days because of an API limitation. That makes X a poor choice for a timely stream; the general plan refresh rates do not apply to this source.

Pricing

FeedWind has a free plan, paid plans from $1/mo, and a 14-day Plus trial. Free costs 0.00 USD per free and allows one widget, one feed per widget, five posts or events, updates every 12 hours and FeedWind branding. It suits a small, low-traffic display, but the single-feed and item caps leave little room for a substantial aggregation.

Basic is 1.00 USD per month for one widget, two feeds, 10 posts or events, five-hour updates and branding. It is an inexpensive step up for a modest site, but still keeps the display small and branded. Pro costs 9.00 USD per month and provides 15 widgets, 20 feeds per widget, 25 posts or events, 15-minute updates, no branding, keyword filtering, custom CSS, custom URL parameters and an X widget. It is the more balanced choice for multiple site placements and styling control, though its item cap is far below Plus.

Plus costs 18.00 USD per month and expands the allowance to 50 widgets, 20 feeds per widget and 200 posts or events, with five-minute updates and the same listed branding removal and customization features as Pro. It fits sites that need many placements or fuller displays. The Plus trial lasts 14 days, requires no credit card, and disables widgets at the end unless a paid plan is purchased.

Platforms

FeedWind runs on the web and embeds into websites, including WordPress, Weebly, Wix and Squarespace. Its support center offers setup guides, FAQs, tutorials and a contact option. The privacy policy says it uses commercially acceptable means to protect personal data but cannot guarantee absolute security; card details are handled by Stripe or PayPal.

Who it's for

FeedWind suits publishers, organizations and small businesses that want a configurable RSS or calendar widget on an existing site, especially when several feeds should be combined. It is less suitable for anyone who needs near-real-time X content, a large unbranded display at minimal cost, or certainty that trial widgets will remain active after the trial.

Pros and cons

Pros: Up to 20 RSS feeds or calendars can be aggregated in a widget, and the paid tiers add increasingly generous display and update limits.
Pros: Responsive layouts and styling controls let publishers adapt displays to their site, with custom CSS and filtering on Pro and Plus.
Cons: Free and Basic are branded and restrictive in widget, feed and item counts, so they are limited for broader deployments.
Cons: X updates only every 24 hours and includes at most 15 recent tweets, limiting its usefulness for timely social coverage.

Alternatives

For a broader comparison, see Social Media Feed Software. Onstipe is another freemium option with web and API platforms; its Nano plan is 1.00 USD per month, with two stipes, two sources, no tweets and four-hour updates. EmbedSocial has a free plan with unlimited widgets and 500 monthly views, which may suit a reader prioritizing widget count over FeedWind's 12-hour refresh allowance. Flow-Flow Social Streams offers a free WordPress version with four sources and unlimited streams, subject to server capacity, making it worth considering for self-hosted WordPress use.

SociableKIT Social Feed Widget has a free tier with one source, one widget, one domain and up to 2,000 monthly views. Taggbox offers a free feed with 500 monthly views, updates every four days and manual moderation. Curator.io has a free plan with three sources and 2,000 monthly views. Tagembed provides one free feed, unlimited websites and refreshes every four days. Wallrus is another freemium web option.

Verdict

Choose FeedWind if you need an embeddable, configurable RSS or calendar display and can match its feed, item and refresh quotas to your site. Pro is the sensible step for multiple unbranded widgets; Plus is better for larger displays. Look elsewhere if X timeliness is central or if the free and Basic caps are too restrictive.
