FINAL FANTASY XIV Online is an online role-playing game in which players become the Warrior of Light and fight to save the realm from destruction. Players can recruit NPCs or join other players in dungeons and trials. The Complete Edition includes A Realm Reborn, Heavensward, Stormblood, Shadowbringers, Endwalker and Dawntrail. Starter Edition and Complete Edition purchases include a 30-day free play period, applied once to each platform on a single service account; continued play then requires a subscription. Entry costs $12.99 a month, billed every 30 days. Standard is $77.94 a month, billed every 180 days. The product page lists versions for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, Windows, Mac and Steam. PlayStation versions do not require PlayStation Plus. The launcher authenticates with a Square Enix account, and subscriptions are managed through Mog Station. The free Companion App service gives access to character inventory and the Armoury Chest; its premium service adds retainer and chocobo saddlebag management and costs $5.00 per 30 days.
