FinalPack vs Impact CAD

FinalPack is an online tool for calculating box dielines and preparing packaging files for prepress and printing. It derives blank dimensions from a box's internal length, width, and height, its structure, and board thickness or grammage. Documented structures include pharma tuck-end, RSC, fast-food, six-corner, sleeve, and standard glue-flap boxes. A 3D preview shows open and closed forms before export. Production handoff can use separate vector layers for cutting, creasing, and perforation, with PDF and SVG output described for production workflows. The layers are intended for Illustrator, CorelDRAW, and lithography workflows. Prepress guidance covers CMYK, overprint, bleed, image resolution, and technical cut and crease layers. Die-maker guidance describes millimetre-based DXF/SVG for CNC, AutoCAD, Kongsberg, and laser cutters. The free Starter plan allows five basic models monthly and interactive 3D preview, but excludes PDF/DXF export and industrial rendering. Silver and Professional plans have listed amounts in toman; Enterprise includes printing-house CRM, MIS/ERP integration, a custom API, and on-site deployment, with no price listed.

Impact CAD is Arden Software’s packaging design system for structural work, proofing and manufacturing workflows. It covers 2D drafting through 3D visualisation and animation, with interactive drawing, reusable parametric and resizable packaging designs, drag-and-drop components, layout and nesting, graphics handling, dieline editing and import, and preflight checks. Designers can create virtual 3D samples and animated prototypes for customer review, then produce physical samples through compatible plotters and sample makers. The software imports and exports formats including PDF, Adobe Illustrator, DWG and DXF. Impact 2026 adds machine-learning Design Similarity for ranking related designs and manufacturing layouts, native Python scripting, and 629 standards plus more than 1,000 combinations in its V120 Standards Library.
