Plans
In their own words
Finch
Finch is a building-design platform for generating plans, exploring options with real-time data, and producing project outputs. Its Plan Library draws on past projects, firm knowledge, accessibility rules, local codes, and constraints as a basis for design generation. The AI agent Archie handles repetitive precision tasks such as placing doors, checking compliance, and updating linked units. Finch produces floor plans, area calculations, and BIM geometry, with exports to traditional BIM tools. It documents workflows with Rhino, Revit, Grasshopper, and Autodesk Forma; listed application versions include Rhino 8, Rhino 7.24+, Rhino 6 SR35+, and Revit 2023–2027. Finch is available as an extension and on macOS, the web, and Windows. The Free plan costs nothing for one user. Basic costs €79 a month for one user and lists a 14-day trial. Enterprise costs €14,500 a year, billed annually for at least three seats.
Trimble Quadri
Trimble Quadri is a collaboration platform for infrastructure projects, built around a shared model teams can use to coordinate project data. Cloud model sharing gives participants a common reference, while links between model changes and work processes, along with notifications and alerts, help teams follow issues. Users can inspect 3D, longitudinal and cross-section views, and use table views for quantity takeoff. Quadri can also capture digital assets in an as-built model and keep project documentation updated as construction progresses. Its connectors include Trimble Connect, Novapoint, Trimble Business Center, Tekla Structures, SketchUp, Tilos, Quantm, ProjectWise, Rhino Grasshopper, Open Roads Designer, Revit and Civil 3D; APIs support customized workflows and data connections. Quantm can assess road or rail alignment alternatives, and Quadri can forecast CO2 emissions for construction and road or rail use. Deployment options include Connected Projects and On-Premise projects. The free Viewer is read-only, with viewing, commenting and measuring. Full use requires installation, Trimble Identity credentials and a license. Pricing is on request, with a 30-day trial.
