Overview

InColor combines a large gallery of illustrations with tools for turning prompts, photos, and doodles into coloring projects, alongside free drawing and community features. That makes it a better fit for users who like to move between coloring and creating than for someone who wants only a straightforward coloring book. Premium unlocks all content and removes ads, while the content-retention terms call for caution if you intend to keep work in the app.

Key features

Pages and creative tools

The gallery contains thousands of curated illustrations, with new styles added daily. An AI coloring-book generator creates black-and-white sketches from entered keywords; photo-to-line-art conversion, text-based coloring ideas, and doodle transformation offer other starting points. This range is useful for people who do not want to rely solely on preset pages, though the free plan limits access to a selection of patterns and features.

Coloring, drawing, and community

Brushes, gradients, advanced detail controls, and freeform coloring serve users who want more control over how they work. A blank-canvas mode and image importing extend the app beyond coloring supplied pages into original art. Users can also share artwork, connect with creators, and join weekly themed challenges. Those social features may add inspiration and a reason to return, but they do not change the terms: Eyewind says it is not obliged to back up content and may delete it at any time.

Pricing

InColor is freemium, with a free plan and paid subscriptions. The free tier is free and includes a selection of patterns and features with ads. It is the sensible starting point for occasional use, but not the complete library or an ad-free experience.

Monthly subscription: 15.99 USD per month, billed monthly, with premium content and ad removal. This suits someone who wants full access without committing for a year, though it is the most expensive listed recurring option by term.
Annually subscription: 29.99 USD per year, billed annually, with premium content and ad removal. This is a lower-cost annual choice for users who expect to use the app regularly.
Lifetime Membership: 39.99 USD per once, with premium content and ad removal. It avoids recurring billing for someone committed to the app, but the content-retention terms remain relevant regardless of payment.
yearly subscription: 59.99 USD per year, billed yearly, with premium content and ad removal. It offers the same stated benefits as the other paid options at a higher annual price.

The official VIP description says Premium Access unlocks all new books each week and features including brushes, stripes, and frames.

Platforms

InColor runs on Android, iOS, and macOS. That range suits people who want it across mobile devices and Mac, though no Windows version is included in its supported platforms.

Who it's for

Choose InColor if you want a single app for browsing illustrations, coloring, turning your own images or prompts into projects, and making original drawings. It is less suitable if you need dependable preservation of finished work: the terms permit deletion and make no backup commitment. Eyewind says personal data is stored in secure environments behind firewall-protected servers, while acknowledging that no system is completely secure; its privacy policy says it was adopted according to the EU General Data Protection Regulation. Support is available by email at incolor.feedback@hotmail.com.

Pros and cons

Pro: Multiple routes into a project—gallery pages, keyword-generated sketches, photo conversion, text ideas, and doodle transformation—serve users who want variety.
Pro: Freeform coloring, image importing, brushes, gradients, and detail controls make it useful beyond filling preset pages.
Con: The free plan includes ads and only a selection of patterns and features, so the full experience requires premium access.
Con: Eyewind is not required to back up user content and may delete it, making the app a poor sole repository for artwork.
Con: The listed annual subscriptions differ substantially in price despite stating the same premium content and ad-removal benefits.

Alternatives

For another freemium coloring app on Android and iOS, consider Pixel Color. Coloring Book: Color by Number is another freemium option, with Windows support as well as Android and iOS. Paint by Number: Coloring Game also supports macOS and Windows alongside Android and iOS, and offers a free trial.

If you prefer a free app from a two-person remote team, Pixel Paint is available on Android, iOS, and web. Chroma is a freemium option for Android, iOS, and web. Color Tap is free on iOS and macOS, with all content available in the download. For an iOS-only alternative with a free trial and monthly plan, consider Lake. The broader coloring apps directory offers more options to compare.

Verdict

InColor is a strong choice for casual artists who want a broad mix of coloring pages, transformations, and drawing tools in one app. Its main reason to choose is that range; its main reason to look elsewhere is the lack of any promise to preserve your work. Explore the free tier first, and keep copies of anything you cannot afford to lose outside the app.
