In their own words
FintX
FintX is a native desktop gRPC test bench for functional and performance testing, available on Linux, macOS and Windows. Functional tests compare actual responses with expected responses and show a visual diff. Load testing supports incremental, constant and burst scenarios. FintX can mock external gRPC services, including unary and streaming methods, with responses customized through C# scripting. It generates test data from protobuf definitions using Faker.js/Bogus. To create a gRPC client, users can supply a.proto file or the HTTP location of a gRPC Reflection Server; generated C# client code is compiled into an assembly and saved locally for reuse. Data is stored as text files on the local machine. The free Community plan includes unlimited gRPC clients, request auto-save, import and export, method tabs, a JSON editor and projects. Professional is $100 per seat and adds functional tests, validation rules, visual diffs, test collections, summarized reports and performance testing. Enterprise is $995 for unlimited users. The linked privacy policy contains placeholder text rather than substantive privacy details.
grpcui
grpcui is a free, open-source command-line tool for interacting with gRPC servers through a browser-based interface. It is aimed at gRPC APIs rather than REST APIs and can discover service schemas through server reflection, .proto source files, or compiled protoset files. Its interface builds dynamic forms for protobuf messages, including well-known types, oneofs, and maps, and also accepts a complete JSON request body. grpcui supports RPC methods including streaming, then displays response headers, messages or errors, trailers, and readable HTML tables. It connects to plaintext and TLS servers, including mutual TLS with client certificates. Streaming requests have a constraint: they must be constructed all at once, so bidirectional streams cannot be handled interactively like they can with grpcurl. The project also provides Go packages for embedding a form or complete web UI in a Go HTTP server. Installation is documented through Homebrew on macOS or Linux, and through the Go install command. It is released under the MIT license.
