NAVER Whale
NAVER Whale is a free Chromium-based browser for visiting websites and using internet or intranet services. It runs on Windows, macOS, Android, iOS, and Linux, and is also offered as an extension. Its download page specifies minimum versions: Windows 10, macOS 12, Android 8.0, iOS/iPadOS 16.0, or Ubuntu 14.04 64-bit. Whale includes ad blocking and supports extensions from Whale Store, as well as most Chrome extensions; some extensions relying on Chrome-specific specifications may not work well. A sidebar can provide services separately from the open webpage and supports extensions and mobile pages. Translation covers webpages and text in images, with suggestions or automatic translation based on language settings. Capture tools can select an area, page element, full page, or screen, then edit with crop, mosaic, text, and shapes. Signing in syncs bookmarks, extension apps, visit history, and passwords across Whale Browser and Whalebook. Whale ON provides video meetings with chat, reactions, hand raising, virtual backgrounds, and screen sharing. Meetings’ chat file transfers support files up to 100 MB.
