In their own words

FlairX Mod Manager

FlairX Mod Manager is a free Windows app for browsing, organizing, and enabling mods for HoYoverse and miHoYo games without manual file handling. It lists Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, Honkai Impact 3rd, Zenless Zone Zero, and Wuthering Waves as supported games. Its visual library uses thumbnails, favorites, and categories, and users can save presets for different mod setups. Mods can be placed in the relevant game or mod folders, or downloaded through the manager. Listed functions include conflict detection, automatic updates, mod profiles, and built-in access to mod sources. The app integrates with the XXMI framework and includes an XXMI launcher integration. The maker describes its interface as WinUI 3 with Fluent Design and says it is optimized for large mod collections. FlairX is labeled open-source and in development. It requires Windows 10 22H2 or Windows 11,.NET 10 Desktop Runtime, Windows App SDK 1.8 or later, and the portable XXMI Framework. Minimum memory is 2 GB RAM, 4 GB is recommended, and minimum screen resolution is 1280×720. It costs nothing.

Modrix

Modrix is a game mod manager with graphical, terminal and command-line frontends built over one shared engine. It is presented as an open-source alternative to Vortex and has built-in support for 86 games, with additional games available through a community plugin registry. A browser extension passes Nexus Mods download links and session cookies to Modrix so it can download and stage files without a Nexus API key. On Linux, the project describes Steam and Proton as first-class options and says Modrix usually detects Steam-installed games for a one-click add-and-switch action. Deployment uses hardlinks where possible, backs up files before overwriting, journals changes for crash recovery and supports reversing deployments. Modrix surfaces conflicts between enabled mods and offers rules and per-file overrides to resolve them. The CLI supports scripting and JSON output, and an MCP server exposes engine functions as tools for agents. The project states that it has zero telemetry and that Lua game plugins are sandboxed. It is GPL-2.0-only and costs nothing.
