Overview

Pixelcut combines product-image editing with tools for creating promotional imagery and video. It suits sellers, creators, and brands that need to prepare product photos for catalogs, ads, or social content. Its clearest advantage is pairing free, watermark-free background removal with options for processing large batches and integrating removal into an API workflow.

Key features

Product-image editing

Pixelcut can remove or replace backgrounds, upscale images by up to 16×, expand the canvas, retouch with generative fill, and generate shadows. That range makes it useful for catalog cleanup and adapting product shots to different layouts; it also reaches beyond routine cutouts into creating and editing promotional content. The web remover accepts JPG, PNG, and HEIC files up to 50 MB and 6000 × 6000 pixels, so unusually large source images may need to be reduced first.

Batch processing

Pixelcut describes general batch editing of hundreds of files and background-removal batches of up to 10,000 images, exported as a ZIP. That is a substantial convenience for catalog-scale cutouts, though paid-plan batch-export quotas are much smaller: 1,000 per month on Pro and 2,000 on Business. The advertised batch size and monthly export allowance serve different purposes, so frequent users should check that their ongoing volume fits.

API and privacy

The background-removal API costs 5 credits per image, shown as $0.05 per image. It accepts PNG or JPEG input and can return transparent PNGs, alpha masks, or a ZIP containing foreground and alpha-mask files. Pixelcut also names Claude and ComfyUI as integrations and says the API can fit creative and image-processing workflows. For teams handling customer imagery, the API page says images are deleted immediately after processing, are not retained or used for model training, and requests are encrypted in transit. Saved project images are encrypted and accessible only to the user unless sharing is explicitly allowed.

Pricing

Pixelcut is freemium. The Free plan costs 0.00 USD per free, billed per month and billed yearly, and includes limited background removal, limited upscaling, and watermark-free exports. The online remover also offers free HD downloads without a watermark or sign-up, making it a useful way to handle occasional cutouts before moving to a subscription.

Pro includes 600 AI credits monthly, three team members, and 1,000 batch exports monthly. Business raises those allowances to 3,600 AI credits, 10 team members, and 2,000 batch exports monthly. Both paid plans have custom pricing. Pixelcut is paid from 8 /mo, but that entry figure does not establish the cost of either named plan. Teams should weigh the larger Business quotas against their need for more seats and batch exports rather than assume either plan is economical at a particular volume. Subscriptions can be canceled at any time.

The API's stated per-image rate offers a separate way to estimate programmatic background removal: $0.05 per image. At that rate, recurring high-volume use deserves a direct cost comparison with the team's monthly workload.

Platforms

Pixelcut runs on Android, iOS, and the web, and offers API access. Mobile apps suit individual editing, while the web uploader and API provide routes for larger or integrated workflows. Email support is available, with replies usually arriving within one business day; the help center covers the web, iOS, and Android apps.

Who it's for

Pixelcut is a strong fit for sellers and small creative teams producing product listings, e-commerce catalogs, ads, and social content. Free watermark-free removal is particularly useful for occasional edits; batch processing and API access make it more relevant when cutouts are repeated across a catalog or embedded in an image pipeline. It is less compelling for a buyer who needs only a basic editor but does not need product-focused tools or bulk workflows.

Pros and cons

Pro: Free HD background removal without a watermark or sign-up lowers the barrier for occasional product-photo cleanup.
Pro: Batch background removal can handle up to 10,000 images in one batch and package the output as a ZIP, which can reduce repetitive catalog work.
Pro: The API offers several useful output types, including alpha masks, at a stated $0.05 per image.
Con: Free removal and upscaling are limited, so regular use may require a paid plan.
Con: Pro and Business plan prices are custom, making it harder to judge the cost of their monthly credits, seats, and export allowances in advance.
Con: Monthly batch-export caps of 1,000 on Pro and 2,000 on Business may constrain teams whose needs extend beyond occasional large batches.

Alternatives

For a video-led product workflow, Tagshop AI is a freemium web and API option with a free tier and a Starter plan at 29.00 USD per month that includes 50 credits and up to five videos per month. Choose it when that video allowance and its 1080p export matter more than Pixelcut's image cutouts and batch tools.

Wink AI Video Generator offers a broader set of platforms, including desktop and mobile, and a Standard plan at 9.99 USD per month; its free plan has limited credit-based generations and watermarked exports. It is a relevant alternative for readers prioritizing AI video generation across devices.

Claid is another web and API option with a free trial offering 50 credits, including 50 API credits. Consider it if a trial with API credits is the deciding factor.

Flair.ai offers a free plan with one custom model, five generated images, and one video generation. It may suit a reader who wants to try a limited mix of image and video generation rather than prioritize Pixelcut's high-volume background removal.

Morzai is a web and extension option with a free welcome gift of 2,000 credits and limits on project history, batch workflows, high-resolution export, and video templates. It is worth considering when an extension-based workflow is preferred.

Omi offers a web-based license with payment monthly under an annual commitment or annually in one installment; its price depends on Digital Twin SKU count and add-ons. It is an alternative for buyers whose needs fit that licensing model.

Mokker AI has a free tier of 20 photos once, with access to its studio and templates. It may fit a one-off, template-led product-photo project.

Pixora offers a free web plan with 100 generation credits (≈2 images), free presets, commercial usage rights, and lifetime access. Its Pro plan is 9.90 USD per month. Choose it when those image-generation credits and presets better match the job than Pixelcut's editing and removal workflow.

Pixelcut also appears in directories for AI Product Photography Generators, AI Image Expanders, Video Background Removal Software, Green Screen Software, AI Background Removers, and AI Cartoon Generators.

Verdict

Choose Pixelcut if you sell or create product imagery and want free watermark-free cutouts now, with batch and API options as your workload grows. Its strongest case is the combination of editing breadth and high-capacity batch removal. Look elsewhere if predictable paid-plan pricing is essential before you can assess the value of the monthly credits, seats, and export caps.
