In their own words
Fleet
Fleet is an open-core platform for managing endpoints: IT teams can configure, update, and secure devices across macOS, Windows, Linux, iOS, iPadOS, Android, and ChromeOS. Its live device connection supports reports and audit logs for near-instant visibility. Fleet offers a catalog of maintained apps, automatic remediation for devices that fall out of compliance, and self-service access to approved software. Administrators can enforce FileVault, BitLocker, and LUKS2 encryption, remotely lock or wipe devices, and run checks against CIS benchmarks, SOC 2, ISO, or custom baselines. It can run on-premises, in the cloud, or in air-gapped environments; Free and Premium list self-hosting. Workflows can use the REST API, webhooks, or fleetctl, and integrations include tools such as Okta, Jira, and GitHub. The source code is public, and Fleet says its free version will always remain free. Free costs nothing and has no support. Premium is $7.00 per host per month; managed cloud is currently available only to customers with 700+ hosts.
Miradore
Miradore is a cloud-based mobile device management service for managing company-owned and personal devices through one interface. It supports enrollment, security, tracking, and management for Android, iOS, macOS, and Windows devices, including smartphones, tablets, and computers. Administrators can require passcodes and encryption, and remotely remove company information from lost or stolen devices. Policies can automatically install settings, apps, or files when devices meet specified conditions. Application management includes deploying, removing, and allowing or blocking apps, as well as managing software licenses. A dashboard and standard or custom reports show managed-device data; its REST API exports data over HTTPS in XML or JSON. Premium+ adds integrated remote support and Microsoft Entra ID and Google Workspace integrations for synchronizing user data and importing users. The Free plan is free and supports up to 50 devices after a 14-day trial. Premium costs $2.75 a month per device, and Premium+ costs $3.95 a month per device; pricing varies by billing choice and device count. Minimum payment terms apply below 15 devices, and organizations managing over 500 devices can request volume pricing.
