Float
Float turns data from connected accounting software into rolling cash flow forecasts for finance teams. It offers weekly and 13-week views, plus monthly forecasts that extend up to three years on Growth and Scale. Users can adjust income and costs, model scenarios and estimate new-hire costs before committing. Float shows invoices and bills with expected payment dates based on when clients actually pay. Its current accounting integrations are Xero and QuickBooks Online; a direct Sage Intacct connection is described as coming soon. Float does not connect directly to banks: bank transaction data comes through the connected accounting platform. Data syncs every 24 hours, with manual sync also available. Teams can comment on budget lines, invoices, bills and payments, tag colleagues and receive mention notifications. Admin, Editor and Viewer roles govern access. Float lists encryption in transit and at rest, multi-factor authentication, role-based access and independent auditing to the UK government-backed Cyber Essentials standard. The web service has no free plan; pricing starts at $105/mo (annual), with a 14-day trial. Essentials forecasts up to 12 months; Growth and Scale cover 36 months.
