In their own words

floccus

floccus syncs browser bookmarks and open tabs across supported browsers and devices. It works with Nextcloud Bookmarks, Linkwarden, KaraKeep, Git, WebDAV, Google Drive, and Dropbox, and offers two-way merge sync or one-way uploads and downloads. floccus syncs browsers’ native bookmarks rather than providing its own bookmark-management interface. Its guides list Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Opera, Vivaldi, Brave, and Kiwi; Safari is unsupported. Android and iOS apps are available, though the Android app is in open beta and keeps bookmarks inside the app rather than syncing them with mobile browsers. Tab syncing can replace a local bookmarks folder, but may create duplicate tabs. WebDAV and Google Drive support an encryption password for end-to-end encrypted sync; Nextcloud Bookmarks and Git do not. floccus describes itself as free and open source, with no ads or data collection. Its plan is free and requires a compatible storage service or server. Selected storage services can access stored bookmarks.

Raindrop.io

Raindrop.io is a bookmark manager for saving and organizing material found while browsing, including articles, books and songs. Users can sort bookmarks into collections, tag them, and filter by type, tag or domain. The library offers article and video previews in Grid, Headlines, Masonry and List views. Collaboration is available on the free plan: users can set collection permissions and share public collections with visitors who do not need to sign up. Free includes unlimited bookmarks, collections, highlights and devices, plus 100 MB of file uploads per month. Pro adds 10 GB of monthly file uploads, full-text search across saved web pages, PDFs and YouTube videos, web archiving, reminders, annotations, daily backups, an AI assistant and suggestions, and priority email support. No Pro price amount is listed. Integrations include Apple Shortcuts, IFTTT, Make, Zapier, ChatGPT, Claude, Notion, Readwise, Dropbox, Google Drive and OneDrive. The maker says collections are private by default, data is stored on AWS servers in Frankfurt, Germany, and continuous backups can restore data to a point within the past year.
