Overview

Floik turns screen recordings or uploaded videos into interactive guides, standard operating procedures, feature walkthroughs and narrated videos. A Chrome extension captures browser steps, screenshots and actions, while one recording can be repurposed as a written guide, interactive video or explainer video. That range makes Floik useful when a team wants to explain the same workflow in more than one format, rather than produce a single video and stop there.

Content can be shared by link or embedded, and the home page lists integrations including Notion, Confluence, Zendesk, Salesforce, Slack, HubSpot, Intercom, Jira, Asana, Microsoft Teams, Loom, GitBook, GitHub, SharePoint and Outlook. Floik is provided by Document360 Limited.

Key features

Browser capture: The Chrome extension records browser workflows and captures steps, screenshots and actions. It is a direct fit for documenting software processes; teams starting from existing footage can upload videos instead.
Multiple outputs: One recording can become an AI-written step-by-step guide, an interactive video or an explainer video. This helps teams reuse a capture for different audiences, though the free plan’s small creation and publication quotas constrain a lasting library.
AI writing, voiceover and translation: AI-written guide copy and voiceover can reduce production work. Translation allowances differ by tier: up to two languages on Pro and 30+ on Pro+, making the higher tier more suitable for broader localization.
Sharing, embeds and exports: Links and embeds support distribution in internal or customer-facing destinations. Paid plans include MP4, PDF and HTML exports, but downloads require annual billing, a meaningful restriction for teams that prefer monthly commitments.
Access and security controls: Script embeds can be restricted to allowed domains. Pro+ includes a two-domain limit and Enterprise five; Enterprise also lists SAML single sign-on, roles and permissions, GDPR and ISO compliance, and dedicated data center options. Floik’s privacy policy describes safeguards and use of third-party cloud infrastructure providers.
Support: Plans list a knowledge base and live chat, with priority support and a customer success manager on higher plans.

Pricing

Floik is freemium, with a 14-day trial and paid plans from $39/user/mo (annual). The free Starter plan has no listed price. It allows five published Flos and ten created Flos, with videos capped at five minutes and guides at 25 steps per Flo. Those limits are enough to try the workflow, but not generous for teams building a working catalog.

Pro costs 39.00 USD per month for one user when billed annually, or 49.00 USD per month billed monthly. It removes the Flo count caps and raises per-Flo limits to ten minutes of video and 200 guide steps. Pro is the practical individual-user upgrade; choose monthly billing for flexibility, but downloads are available only with annual billing.

Pro+ costs 119.00 USD per month for five users when billed annually, or 159.00 USD per month billed monthly. It includes unlimited Flos, five users, the same ten-minute video and 200-step limits, and advanced insights up to 30 days. This is the better fit for a small team needing shared seats and deeper insight, but its export restriction still favors annual billing. Enterprise has custom pricing, custom users, onboarding and limits, positioning it for organizations that need a tailored setup.

Platforms

Floik is available as an extension and on macOS, web and Windows. The Chrome extension is the specified browser-capture route; the platform list gives teams desktop and web options as well.

Who it's for

Floik suits operations, IT and software rollout, training and onboarding, customer support, customer education and change-management teams. It is especially relevant when a process needs to be documented once and reused as guidance or video. It is less compelling for a solo user who needs a large library on a free tier, or for a team that requires downloadable files but will not commit annually.

Pros and cons

Pro: A single capture can serve as a guide, interactive video or explainer, giving documentation and training teams more reuse from each recording.
Pro: Link sharing, embeds and a broad set of named integrations give teams multiple routes to distribute content.
Pro: Pro+ adds five seats and translation for 30+ languages, which better supports team production and wider localization.
Con: Starter caps publication at five Flos and creation at ten, so it is a limited home for an ongoing documentation program.
Con: Downloads require annual billing, limiting the value of monthly plans for teams that need MP4, PDF or HTML files.
Con: Pro and Pro+ retain ten-minute video and 200-step limits per Flo, which may be restrictive for especially long workflows.

Alternatives

Choose Supademo if its free plan’s one creator/admin, five guided interactive demos and 50 4K video recordings better match a small demo-focused workflow. Folio is another freemium option: its free tier offers one user, up to two Basic Demos and two Basic Templates, with unlimited demo steps, screens and views, but adds a watermark.

Guideflow may suit teams seeking unlimited guideflows, advanced analytics, AI demo content, video and GIF export, and AI translation on its Solo plan at 35.00 USD per month billed yearly. Storylane offers a free plan with one seat, one published demo, unlimited views, an AI content assistant and voiceovers, making it an option for a narrowly scoped demo need.

Flonnect Presentation Recorder is a freemium alternative with a free tier that includes 20 lifetime videos and 5 HTML/demo captures per month. MagicDemo has a free plan for one user and up to five demos, while its Pro plan is 39.00 USD per month. Recly offers three interactive demos on its free plan, alongside unlimited screenshots and recordings. StoryScale has a free Starter tier with one published demo, unlimited captures and public sharing with embed.

Verdict

Choose Floik if your team wants to convert software workflows into several reusable formats and distribute them through links, embeds or integrations. Its strongest advantage is that one capture can support both written and video instruction. Look elsewhere if free-tier scale or downloads without annual billing are decisive requirements.
