In their own words
Flowkeeper
Flowkeeper is a desktop Pomodoro timer and work-tracking tool built around the original Pomodoro Technique. It is available for Linux, macOS, and Windows; the Free plan costs nothing and has no subscriptions or paid features. Work organization includes task lists, daily backlogs, todo lists, reminders, and configurable categories. Fullscreen rest notifications are enabled by default, and users can set a notification to sound one minute before a Pomodoro ends. Keyboard shortcuts, timer and tray icon appearance, themes, and audio are configurable. Work summaries can be exported as Markdown, CSV, or JSON, and data can be exchanged as text. Data is stored locally in plaintext files that users can copy, back up, and edit. Flowkeeper works offline; users can share the data file manually or enable Watch changes, while online sync is under development. It can run external programs on application events. The maker says version 0.7.x only makes network calls to check for updates through the GitHub API, and those checks can be disabled in Settings. The FAQ identifies Constantine Kulak as author and says Flowkeeper is GPL-licensed.
Focus Keeper
Focus Keeper is a Pomodoro timer and productivity service for planning work sessions, organizing tasks and following focus patterns. Its web timer shows 25-minute focus periods, 5-minute short breaks and 25-minute long breaks. Users can combine the timer with a task list; work sessions are logged automatically, then displayed in charts showing focus time and work patterns. The service also describes identifying focus patterns and tracking habits. Sessions and tasks are saved automatically, with history accessible on any device. Focus Keeper is web-based and available on iOS and Android, and the homepage offers a free signup option. Premium features may involve a subscription. Users can cancel at any time and keep premium access through the current billing period, but are not refunded for that cycle. The privacy policy says account and usage data may include name, email, password, task details, session durations, settings, IP address and browser activity. It says reasonable measures are used to protect personal information but absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
