In their own words

Flowkeeper

Flowkeeper is a desktop Pomodoro timer and work-tracking tool built around the original Pomodoro Technique. It is available for Linux, macOS, and Windows; the Free plan costs nothing and has no subscriptions or paid features. Work organization includes task lists, daily backlogs, todo lists, reminders, and configurable categories. Fullscreen rest notifications are enabled by default, and users can set a notification to sound one minute before a Pomodoro ends. Keyboard shortcuts, timer and tray icon appearance, themes, and audio are configurable. Work summaries can be exported as Markdown, CSV, or JSON, and data can be exchanged as text. Data is stored locally in plaintext files that users can copy, back up, and edit. Flowkeeper works offline; users can share the data file manually or enable Watch changes, while online sync is under development. It can run external programs on application events. The maker says version 0.7.x only makes network calls to check for updates through the GitHub API, and those checks can be disabled in Settings. The FAQ identifies Constantine Kulak as author and says Flowkeeper is GPL-licensed.

Tomatoid

Tomatoid is a free web app that structures work into timed focus sessions and breaks. Its timer begins with 25 minutes of work followed by a five-minute break, then offers a 30-minute break after four rounds. Users can play, pause or reset the timer at any time. The minimalist design is intended to reduce distractions and keep attention on the session. No account is required, and Tomatoid says it does not collect personal information from timer users. After the page loads, the timer can work offline while the page stays open in the browser. The site says it is optimized for Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Safari and should work in most modern browsers. It can be used in desktop browsers on Windows, macOS and Linux, and mobile browsers on iOS and Android; users can also add it to a device's home screen. Tomatoid is not offered in the iOS App Store or Google Play Store. Its Free plan costs nothing.
