Overview

FoneTool is a collection rather than a single all-in-one license. Its mobile app moves files between phones, while FoneTool Pro provides desktop backup and management; Repair Pro and Unlocker Pro are separate purchases. That breadth can serve a household or individual with several iPhone workflows, but buyers looking for one license covering repair, unlocking, and management should not assume these products are bundled.

The free edition backs up or transfers photos, music, videos, contacts, and messages from iPhone to PC, and can be used to evaluate the software. For routine file backups, that may be enough. It is a poor fit if a message archive must include attachments: the current version cannot back up or restore SMS photos, videos, Animoji, or other attachments.

Key features

Phone transfers

The mobile app transfers photos, videos, music, and contacts between iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, and Android devices. Previewing files and selecting individual items is useful when migrating only part of a library. The app says it can transfer without Wi-Fi or cellular data after installation on both devices, which may suit transfers where a network connection is unavailable.

Desktop backup and management

FoneTool's desktop app covers file backup, data transfer, iPhone switching, WhatsApp management, data erasure, and HEIC conversion. Its product pages also include WhatsApp backup and transfer and iCloud management. This range makes Pro more compelling for users who regularly manage an iPhone from a computer than for someone who only needs a single migration.

Repair and unlocking

Repair Pro lists fixes for more than 160 iOS and iPadOS issues, upgrade and downgrade tools, Recovery Mode controls, and device wipe or reset without a password. Unlocker Pro covers screen-passcode removal, Apple ID removal without a password, Screen Time bypass, and iTunes backup encryption removal. These are distinct utilities with their own licenses, not additions included with FoneTool Pro.

Transferred data is stored locally on the computer, and FoneTool says it does not sell personal information. The store advertises permanent free technical support and a 90-day unconditional money-back guarantee. Android users should note the app requires Android 7.0 or later, though it says it supports all Android phone brands.

Pricing

FoneTool is freemium, with a free edition and free trial. The paid products have separate device and PC allowances, so the right plan depends both on the task and the number of devices or computers involved.

FoneTool Pro — Yearly: 39.95 USD per year, billed Yearly, with 1 Year Free Upgrades and Unlimited Devices / 5 PCs. This is the annual choice for users needing desktop transfer and management across multiple devices and up to five computers.
FoneTool Pro — Lifetime: 59.95 USD per once, billed Lifetime Free Upgrades, with Unlimited Devices / 5 PCs. It costs more upfront than one year of Pro but avoids recurring annual billing for those who expect to keep using it.
FoneTool Repair Pro — Yearly: 39.95 USD per year, billed Yearly, with 1 Year Free Upgrades and 5 iOS Devices / 1 PC. This fits someone who needs repair utilities on a limited set of devices and one computer, but it is not a management license.
FoneTool Repair Pro — Lifetime: 49.95 USD per once, billed Lifetime Free Upgrades, with 5 iOS Devices / 1 PC. The one-time option suits ongoing repair needs on the same device and PC allowance.
FoneTool Unlocker Pro — Yearly: 29.95 USD per year, billed Yearly, with 1 Year Free Upgrades and 5 iOS Devices / 1 PC. It is the least expensive annual paid plan, but only covers the separate unlocking product and its stated limits.
FoneTool Unlocker Pro — Lifetime: 49.95 USD per once, billed Lifetime Free Upgrades, with 5 iOS Devices / 1 PC. This avoids annual billing for users whose needs are limited to unlocking tasks.

The free edition is the lower-cost option for basic iPhone-to-PC file work, but it does not erase the SMS-attachment limitation. Pro's allowance of five PCs and unlimited devices is materially broader than the one-PC, five-device limits on Repair Pro and Unlocker Pro.

Platforms

FoneTool supports Android, iOS, and Windows. The mobile app supports phone-to-phone transfer across iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, and Android; phone-to-computer transfer, app transfer, and computer backup are also supported. The Android app requires Android 7.0 or later.

Who it's for

Choose FoneTool if you want selective phone transfers plus computer-based iPhone backup or management, especially when the free edition's iPhone-to-PC coverage meets your needs. Pro is the relevant purchase for broader desktop management, while Repair Pro and Unlocker Pro make sense only when their particular repair or access tools are needed. Look elsewhere if SMS attachments are essential to a backup, or if you need those separate utilities under one license.

Pros and cons

Pros

Selective previews and transfers help avoid moving files that are not needed.
The free edition covers photos, music, videos, contacts, and messages from iPhone to PC, making basic backup possible without a paid plan.
Pro pairs backup and transfer with WhatsApp and iCloud management, erasure, and HEIC conversion.
Pro's paid plans cover unlimited devices and five PCs, useful for multi-device workflows.
Local storage and the stated no-sale policy provide clear privacy points for transferred data.

Cons

SMS photos, videos, Animoji, and other attachments cannot be backed up or restored, limiting message preservation.
Repair and unlocking require separate purchases, so Pro alone does not cover those jobs.
Repair Pro and Unlocker Pro are limited to five iOS devices and one PC, unlike Pro's broader device and computer allowance.
The Android app requires Android 7.0 or later.

Verdict

FoneTool is a good fit for iPhone users who want selective mobile transfers and a broad Windows backup and management toolkit, with a free edition capable of basic PC file work. Its clearest drawback is the missing SMS attachments, while repair and unlocking buyers must budget for separate plans. Choose it for its combination of transfer and desktop management; look elsewhere when complete message backups or a single license spanning all product lines matters most.
