In their own words

FOSSBilling

FOSSBilling is free, open-source billing and client-management software for hosting and other online service businesses. It can issue invoices automatically, send payment reminders, handle recurring or one-time pricing, support multiple currencies and apply promo codes. Hosting products can create and manage accounts through cPanel/WHM, DirectAdmin, HestiaCP, CWP and Plesk. Domain functions cover registration, renewal, transfers and WHOIS checks through registrar integrations, though domain prices are entered manually rather than retrieved live. A REST API provides admin, authenticated-client and public guest endpoints. Documented protections include HTTPS enforcement, session fingerprinting, CSRF protection, rate limiting, IP blocking, CAPTCHA and activity logs. It is self-hosted, requiring PHP 8.3, 8.4 or 8.5 and a MySQL-compatible database, with Apache, LiteSpeed/OpenLiteSpeed or NGINX. The project is beta, under active development, and notes rough edges and limited support.

Rerun

Rerun is a web app for recurring, subscription, and membership invoices and payments. It handles recurring credit card and ACH payments as well as recurring invoice billing. Payment streams can specify dates, frequency, amounts, discounts, surcharges, and up to two tax codes per customer. A secure My Account page lets customers update payment or contact details, view payment history, and pay open invoices. Businesses can customize emails for upcoming, successful, or unsuccessful payment events. Reports support filters, date ranges, configurable columns, and Excel export. Hosted checkout can be customized for recurring or one-time payments and donations. Rerun syncs customer and accounting data with QuickBooks Online and Xero, and can send key notifications to Slack. The Pay as you go plan has no monthly fee, but transaction fees apply: 2.95% + 30¢ for Visa, Mastercard, and Discover; 2.99% + 30¢ for Amex; and $1.49 per ACH transaction. The 30-day trial uses sample data, requires no credit card, and does not permit real transactions. Rerun is for US use and processes transactions in USD.
