In their own words
FrameCoach
FrameCoach is a free game-graphics optimizer available on the web and Windows. It recommends settings from a user’s GPU, CPU, game, and target frame rate, then estimates how each setting may affect FPS. Users can edit the recommendations and watch the estimate change live. The web optimizer covers more than 160 GPUs, 250 CPUs, and 180 games, including Steam Deck, and supports NVIDIA, AMD, Intel, and handheld hardware. Its FPS figures come from a generalized model rather than live benchmarks, so scenes, drivers, and game versions can change the result. The free Windows app scans hardware, works offline, and offers recommendations for more than 180 games. Its beta can apply settings to supported Unreal Engine games while closed, backing up configuration and offering one-click undo. Windows 10/11, 64-bit, and no account are required. The maker says desktop hardware stays on the PC and nothing is uploaded.
GameGain
GameGain is Windows software intended to tune PC game performance, frames per second, and smoothness. It changes Windows registry and system settings affecting memory use, CPU prioritization, drive access, and graphics display speed. Full-screen applications receive priority for CPU power and access to more CPU cores. PGWARE says these adjustments can increase displayed frames per second and reduce lag and screen pop-in while large map files load. GameGain changes Windows directly rather than patching or modifying game files. Listed systems include Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista, XP, and Windows Server 2012, 2008, and 2003, with 32-bit and 64-bit support. The listed update is version 4.10.21.2024, recompiled with Delphi 2023 to fix small bugs and improve Windows 11 compatibility. Downloadable trials last 30 days. Listed plans are GameGain 4 at $4.99, paid once and a GameGain 4 license at $4.99 a month. The application can install updates internally.
