| Founded | 2024 | HumanSignal is listed as founded in 2019. |
| Security | The security page says originals remain local, extracted frames and audio are discarded after analysis, and HTTPS is used. | The security documentation says application component interactions use TLS and the web app enforces HTTPS and secured cookies. |
| Security controls | Production connections use HTTPS, face and voice templates are encrypted on the device, and FrameQuery says it does not use footage to train its own AI models. | Official security guidance describes TLS, HTTPS, secured cookies, role-restricted token API access, SSRF protection and encrypted PostgreSQL connections. |
| Storage integrations | The app can watch local folders, external drives, S3, SMB, Dropbox and Google Drive. | Documentation lists AWS S3, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, Databricks, Redis and local storage connections. |
| Support | Product help is available at [email protected], security issues at [email protected], and system availability is shown on the status page. | Community users are directed to Slack and GitHub issues, Starter Cloud includes a dedicated support portal, and Enterprise offers priority support with response time SLAs. |
| What it does | FrameQuery indexes video so users can search dialogue, on-screen content, people and scene context locally. | Label Studio is an open-source platform for data labeling, AI evaluation and human-in-the-loop workflows across many data types. |

In their own words
FrameQuery
FrameQuery makes video footage searchable by dialogue, on-screen content and people. Indexing identifies scene context, objects, faces, voices and speech, with transcripts separated by speaker; after indexing, searches run locally and work offline without a per-query charge. It supports more than 50 formats, including R3D, BRAW, ProRes, H.264, H.265, MKV and MXF. Sources include local folders, S3, SMB, Dropbox and Google Drive, while sharing or backup can use Drive, Dropbox or NAS. Search results can be exported to editing workflows such as Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve and Avid using formats including FCPXML, Premiere XML, EDL and LosslessCut. A web review page offers frame-accurate comments, drawing annotations, approvals and side-by-side version comparison. Face and voice recognition run on-device with explicit consent, but selected frames and extracted audio go to cloud services for analysis and transcription. The Free plan has no monthly indexing hours. Starter costs $19 a month and includes 10 hours of video per month. Its API is planned but not available yet.
Label Studio
Label Studio is an open-source data labeling tool for text, images, audio, video, time series, and multimodal data. It provides a configurable labeling interface, project templates, data management, and annotation import and export. Custom machine-learning backends can provide predictions, while Enterprise adds automated active-learning loops. Its integrations directory spans cloud storage, foundation-model APIs, computer vision, speech and audio, machine-learning frameworks, and infrastructure. Listed storage options include Amazon S3, Google Cloud Storage, Azure Blob Storage, Databricks, Redis, and local storage. APIs, a Python SDK, and webhooks support programmatic management and integration. Deployment options include on-premises or cloud installation using pip, Docker, Ubuntu, source, or Anaconda. Security documentation describes TLS for application-component interactions, HTTPS, and secured cookies. Enterprise is described as SOC 2 and HIPAA compliant and can be deployed in the cloud or on premises, with SSO and SCIM 2.0 support. Community Edition is free. Starter Cloud costs $99 a month, with each additional user at $49 a month; Enterprise pricing is custom.
