Overview

Krock.io combines review tools with planning features: teams can organize projects in workspaces, use templates, track workloads in Gantt charts, and work from a calendar view. Reviewers can leave text, drawings, attachments, and time-coded comments on video, images, audio, and PDFs, including multi-page PDFs. Approval workflows, version comparison, guest reviewers, and custom reviewer roles make it useful when feedback needs a clear path toward sign-off.

The storyboard generator can turn text into storyboards, extending the platform beyond review and coordination. Integrations include Adobe Creative Cloud, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve Studio, Slack, calendar sync, and webhooks. That combination is a strong fit for creative teams seeking a shared production workspace; teams needing only a narrow review tool may find its planning features unnecessary.

Key features

Review and coordination

Time-coded comments help pinpoint video changes, while drawings and attachments give reviewers other ways to communicate across supported media. Approval workflows and version comparison help teams manage feedback and sign-off, and guest reviewers can participate without counting as ordinary team members on the Free plan.

Storyboards and project planning

Text-to-storyboard generation may help teams move from a written concept to visual planning. Templates, workspaces, workload Gantt charts, and a calendar view support coordination across ongoing projects. These features matter most to teams that want planning and media review together rather than in separate tools.

Security and support

Krock.io says data in transit uses 256-bit HTTPS/SSL encryption and that account and project data are encrypted in databases. It supports two-factor authentication for individual accounts, stores media on Amazon S3, and hosts core application servers on DigitalOcean IaaS. The company says user content is not used to train AI models and is not shared with third parties unless required by law. Standard support is included across plans, with the team aiming to respond within 1–2 business days.

Pricing

Krock.io has a free tier, a per-user Pro plan, and a flat-rate Unlimited plan. The Free plan is free and is capped at one user, 2 GB of storage, one workspace, two projects, and 50 AI Tokens. Unlimited reviewers soften the single-seat limit for collecting feedback, but the small storage and project allowances constrain ongoing production work.

Pro costs 10.00 USD per month, billed per user. It includes unlimited team size, unlimited projects and workspaces, 4K playback, custom branding, and storage from 2Tb, with storage add-ons also available. This is the natural step up for teams that need more room to manage active work, though its per-user billing means cost rises with the team.

Unlimited costs 400.00 USD per month, with 100 users included. It provides unlimited collaborators and reviewers, projects, workspaces, and team size at a flat rate. It is the clearer fit for larger teams that want predictable pricing at that scale; smaller groups may pay for capacity they do not need. Pro and Unlimited customers can add 1 TB of storage for $10 per month; Free customers cannot. A 7-day trial is available, and standard support is included on all plans.

Platforms

Krock.io is offered as a web product, a browser extension, and apps for macOS and Windows. Recommended browser versions are Chrome 84+, Firefox 70+, Safari 14.1+, and Edge 84+. The recommended operating systems are Windows 7+ and macOS 10.15 Catalina+.

Who it's for

Krock.io is aimed at video production companies, advertising agencies, animation studios, digital agencies, and content creators. Teams reviewing multiple media types and coordinating approvals, schedules, and workloads can make use of its breadth. It is less compelling for a solo creator who needs extensive storage or several projects on a free plan, or for teams that do not need project-management tools alongside review.

Pros and cons

Pros: Review spans video, images, audio, and PDFs, with time-coded feedback, drawings, attachments, approvals, and version comparison.
Pros: Project templates, workload Gantt charts, and a calendar view bring coordination into the same workspace as review.
Pros: Integrations cover major creative applications as well as Slack, calendar sync, and webhooks.
Cons: Free is limited to one user, 2 GB, one workspace, and two projects, so it is restrictive for sustained production work.
Cons: Pro is billed per user, while the $400.00 USD monthly Unlimited plan includes 100 users; the latter is a substantial commitment for smaller teams.

Alternatives

For storyboard-focused work, Boords offers a free single-user plan with 250 AI images per month and unlimited storyboards and scripts. Drawstory is another web-based freemium option for readers comparing storyboard tools. Cygnus has a free plan with 200 credits per month, two projects, seven pipeline stages, 720p exports, and watermarked output. GOGUL offers a one-time 100-credit free balance, but it does not replenish.

Shai, Story2Board, StoryBirdie, and Storyboarder.ai are other storyboard-focused options. For broader comparisons, see AI Storyboard Generators, Online Proofing Software, Video Review Software, Storyboard Software, and Creative Project Management Software.

Verdict

Choose Krock.io if your creative team needs media review, structured approvals, and project coordination under one roof, particularly across video and other asset types. Its integrations and planning tools give it breadth beyond annotation alone. Look elsewhere if the Free plan’s small storage and project caps are a problem, or if per-user Pro pricing and the 100-user Unlimited tier do not match your team’s scale.
