OpenTalk
OpenTalk is a browser-based video conferencing service available as a hosted service or for installation in a customer's data center. It runs in common browsers without local software, although Safari on Apple devices has functional limitations. Meetings can use breakout rooms and sub-room conversations, with multiple moderators, a whiteboard, meeting minutes, polls and surveys. Open and secret voting are supported, with results documented. Participants can join by phone for audio-only access, and OpenTalk can connect to in-house phone systems or external SIP providers. Open APIs support integrations, and Keycloak is an identified single sign-on option. Its on-premises APIs cover user and room provisioning, configuration, metrics and reporting. OpenTalk describes itself as open source and GDPR-compliant, and reports receiving the German Federal Office for Information Security IT security label for video conferencing services. Starter is free, with up to five participants and 30-minute calls, but no recording. Standard is $7.50 a month per user, excluding VAT; Premium is $12.50 a month per user, excluding VAT. Both paid plans include recording.
