| API | A local REST API exposes camera detection, recording, playback, calibration, mocap processing, realtime pipelines and Blender operations. | Studio's HTTP Command API can start or stop recording, calibrate, reset actors, return scene information and attach trackers; its default port is 14053. |
| Licence | The project is licensed under GNU Affero General Public License version 3 (AGPL-3.0). | The Studio EULA grants a non-exclusive licence and prohibits reproduction, distribution, sublicensing, renting or lending, indicating proprietary software. |
| Support | Community support is centered on Discord, with GitHub issues for bugs and feature requests and paid setup, training and custom services available. | Rokoko lists support hours as weekdays from 09:00 to 17:00 GMT+2, based in Greece, and says it observes Greek public holidays. |
| System requirements | Official installers target Windows x64, macOS Apple Silicon and Linux x64, with CPU and NVIDIA CUDA builds; Intel Macs are unsupported. | Studio requires Windows 10 64-bit with at least 8GB RAM and a DX10 GPU, or macOS Big Sur with Apple M1 and 8GB RAM; the page recommends 16GB. |
| What it does | FreeMoCap records synchronized camera video and reconstructs full-body 3D movement without physical markers. | Rokoko Create is a browser platform that generates 3D motion from text prompts or uploaded video without requiring capture hardware. |

In their own words
FreeMoCap
FreeMoCap records and reconstructs full-body movement as 3D motion-capture data. It is free, open-source software for researchers, animators, athletes, and creators. Capture can use two or more standard webcams, GoPros, or smartphones; a printed ChArUco board synchronizes camera feeds and defines the 3D coordinate system. Users can also record video offline on mobile devices and import it later for processing. Results can be exported in formats including CSV, FBX, and .blend files. A Blender add-on loads processed recordings into Blender as a rigged skeleton. Processing happens locally, and the homepage says video data does not leave the user's machine. A backend server download supports headless machines, remote capture rigs, and API use. The download page identifies the current release as alpha. Optional anonymous usage pings may include IP address, timestamp, and camera information, but users can disable them in the GUI. The project directs questions to Discord and bug reports or feature requests to GitHub. Its post-hoc guide notes that RTMPose produces 3D data but does not currently have working Blender export.
Rokoko Create
Rokoko Create generates 3D motion from video clips or text prompts, which users can edit in Rokoko Studio and export as FBX, BVH, or CSV. Video-to-motion uses Vision AI, with monthly processing allowances that vary by plan. Starter and paid plans include unlimited text-to-motion clips, but Studio imports are capped by plan except on Pro. Rokoko says generated video-to-motion and text-to-motion data can be used commercially. Exported FBX or BVH files are described as compatible with skeletons including UE5 Manny, HIK, and Mixamo, and with software such as Blender, Unreal Engine, Unity, Cinema 4D, Maya, Houdini, MotionBuilder, and iClone. Rokoko Studio also supports real-time plugins for several of those tools. The free Starter plan includes 30 seconds of Vision AI processing and five Studio imports per month, plus one month of cloud storage. Basic is listed at $12 a month, while the pricing note says paid plans start at $10/mo (annual). New accounts can try Plus or Pro for free for 7 days.
