In their own words
FundComb
FundComb is an investor research database for finding venture capital, private equity, hedge fund, family office and other private market investors. It covers more than 870 funds across more than 71 countries, according to its homepage. Users can search by name, sector or city, browse curated lists by geography and investor type, open profiles and create custom lists. The database also supports comparisons of 152 published transactions and 113 price or multiple records, with source trails and confidence labels. FundComb says its data combines investor websites, regulatory filings, official announcements, portfolio pages, public profiles and manual corrections. Public investor search, ranked lists and profiles are free without a paywall or required sign-up. The Data API provides read access to published investor profiles and transaction comparisons, but is currently a managed beta for eligible Data-plan workspaces. API keys can be scoped to investor and/or comps reads, with up to 10 active keys per workspace and immediate revocation by owners. API rows include source, confidence, attribution and rights fields; users are told to review each response's rights policy. FundComb says it has provided its database since 2016.
VCPeer
VCPeer is a private-market intelligence service for founders, investors, and startup operators. Its research tools let founders browse investor profiles, compare firms, and filter by stage, sector, and geography. They can also submit investor experiences anonymously, report ghosting, and compare term sheets. VCPeer says reviews come from verified submissions and public profile details have sourceable public evidence. Its Rally feature supports prospecting and outreach for customers, partners, resellers, or investors: it finds prospects, writes personalized emails, handles replies, and books meetings. Rally can send through Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, or SMTP, and threads replies in the user's inbox and Rally. Interested responses receive the user's Cal.com link. Raise mode contacts one partner per fund per wave; any reply from that fund closes outreach to it. Rally offers a REST API and hosted MCP server, while its typed SDK and CLI are forthcoming. Plans include a free tier, a $99 one-time Research Report, Pro at $299 per year, and Team at $999 per year. Free has no exports; Pro and Team include exports.
