G Merge Plus
G Merge Plus creates personalized documents and email campaigns from Google Sheets. It can combine a sheet with a document template to generate PDFs, Google Docs, or Sheets, then send personalized messages from the user's Gmail address with generated documents attached. Merges can be queued for later or scheduled to recur. Delivery and open reports appear in the Sheet, and the marketing section also describes click tracking. Campaigns can include one-click unsubscribe; opt-outs are recorded in the Sheet and skipped on the next send. Reusable email and document templates are available, with shared templates listed for the Team plan. The workflow includes Gmail, Google Sheets, Google Docs, and Google Drive. G Merge Plus uses Google Sign In and says it does not access Gmail passwords. It says email and generated document contents are not stored, and generated files are kept in the user's Drive. The free plan has unlimited mail merge but no document merge or tracking, and is subject to Google limitations. Pro is $72 a year; Team is $480 a year.
Windward Core
Windward Core is an embedded document-generation product combining a template Designer with an Engine. Users build templates in Microsoft Word, Excel, or PowerPoint with tags and conditional logic, then generate data-rich documents from application data. A template can combine multiple sources, including SQL, JSON, XML, OData, and connections to 147 vendors. The Engine is available for Java, .NET, and REST, allowing calls from other programming languages. It supports outputs such as DOCX, XLSX, PPTX, PDF, HTML, direct printing, PostScript, bitmap, CSV, RTF, and TXT, plus batch personalization and API access. Engines can run on existing or dedicated servers; Docker and Kubernetes materials are provided for Manager. The Designer is a Windows Microsoft Office add-in and requires Microsoft Office for Windows. The Java RESTful Engine runs in Apache Tomcat environments, including Windows and Linux. Windward Core is now Fluent by Apryse. Pricing is available on request, with a free 30-day trial.
