In their own words
G.SKILL Trident Z Lighting Control
G.SKILL Trident Z Lighting Control is free Windows software for configuring lighting on supported G.SKILL memory kits. The download page lists it in the Trident Z, Trident Z5, and Ripjaws M5 RGB Family section. Its changelog names Trident Z5 RGB DDR5 kits and Trident Z RGB, Neo, Royal, and Royal Elite DDR4 kits. Users can select lighting effects, adjust settings such as speed and direction, and set colors with a wheel, RGB values, HEX codes, or preset palettes. Lighting can be synchronized across modules or configured module by module, with up to four profiles. Music Mode responds to audio, disables profiles while active, and leaves modules dark when no audio plays; an LED Off function is also listed. Razer Chroma support was added in v1.00.17. The latest listed version is v1.00.38, released 2026-04-10, for Windows 10 and Windows 11. Lighting effects are not stored in the modules, so after a cold boot the default rainbow wave appears until the software loads the saved effect. G.SKILL warns of possible conflicts with other lighting utilities.
