In their own words

Gantry

Gantry is an open-source internal developer platform for teams that need a service catalog and self-service workflows without dedicated platform engineering staff. Its catalog brings together services, APIs, teams, infrastructure components, and environments, including ownership and dependency relationships. Teams can create executable runbooks and workflows with schema-driven forms for tasks such as deployments and environment provisioning. Catalog entities can be written in YAML and applied with `gantry apply`, supporting version control, review, diffs, and rollback. Search uses SQLite FTS5, so Elasticsearch is not required. Official integrations include Kubernetes, GitHub, and ArgoCD; PagerDuty, Datadog, Grafana, and Flux are planned. Gantry ships as a Go binary with embedded SQLite and no external runtime dependencies. It can be installed from a binary, run through Docker or Docker Compose, or built from source. The documentation describes JWT authentication and requires installers to set an admin password. Gantry is self-hosted, licensed under Apache 2.0, and free. Its documentation says it is in active development and that APIs and schemas may change before its first stable release.

Port

Port is a cloud-native platform for engineering teams to build, govern, and operate their software development lifecycle. Its platform includes a Context Lake, Software Catalog, Actions, AI Agents, Scorecards, Access Controls, Workflows, and Interface Designer. Port maps environments into the Context Lake and orchestrates agentic workflows across the development lifecycle with governance. It lists 86 integrations in areas such as Kubernetes, CI/CD, incident management, SSO, Git, cloud providers, and AI agents. Examples include Prometheus, Azure Monitor, Rootly, n8n, Claude AI, OpenAI, Cursor, Jira, Slack, ServiceNow, and Wiz. The Free plan has no time limit and includes up to 15 seats, up to 10k entities, up to 400 runs, and community support. Basic is listed at $30 a month, billed annually; paid plans start at $30/user/mo (annual). Port states that it is SOC 2 Type 2 certified, GDPR, ISO 27001, and CCPA compliant, and follows OWASP best practices. It says data at rest is encrypted with AES-256 and data in transit uses HTTPS and TLS 1.2 or later where applicable. User-ingested data is retained until deleted; audit logs are retained for one year by default, and sign-in and account access logs for 30 days.
