In their own words
Gavel
Gavel offers two legal software products: Gavel Exec for AI contract review and drafting, and Gavel Workflows for automating legal documents. Exec works in Microsoft Word and online, where it can review, redline or draft contracts, apply playbooks, compare terms with market data and explain changes. Workflows converts client intake answers and templates into Word documents and PDFs using structured workflows. Listed integrations include Clio, Zapier, DocuSign and Stripe; API access is available on higher tiers. Gavel says its products are designed for transactional attorneys, law firms and legal teams. Exec is SOC 2 Type II certified. Gavel also says data is encrypted in transit and at rest, undergoes regular third-party security testing, and that Exec has zero-retention commitments with AI providers. Workflows plans have tier-specific workflow and usage limits. Lite costs $83 a month, while Scale costs $417 a year. Exec has a free trial with 25 queries per user; its paid plan costs $160 a month or $1740 per user billed annually.
Robin AI
Robin AI is a legal platform for reviewing contracts, managing legal operations, and analyzing contract repositories. Its tools can suggest edits, summarize documents, search collections, and identify patterns across related agreements. Answers include citations users can open to check the underlying primary documents. Robin supports live editing with legal AI and precedent documents, while obligation workflows provide tasks, reminders, and dashboards for renewals and deadlines. It can answer research questions using publicly available authoritative legal sources, and says its Legal AI supports over 200 languages. A Microsoft Word add-in offers AI-assisted review, summaries, and document search inside Word. The Legal Library accepts PDF and Microsoft Word DOCX and DOC files; other formats need conversion. Robin says customer data is not used for model training, fine-tuning, or feature development without express consent, and describes AES-256 encryption at rest and TLS in transit. Its terms describe a free trial, but access may be restricted. Trial access and uploaded content are suspended afterward, and data may be permanently deleted if the customer does not upgrade within 30 days. Pricing is on request.
