In their own words
Geekbench
Geekbench is a cross-platform benchmark for measuring system performance across processors, devices, and operating systems. Its CPU benchmark covers single-core and multi-core performance in everyday application areas, while GPU Compute tests workloads including machine learning, image processing, and video editing. GPU tests support OpenCL, Metal, Vulkan, and CUDA. The free edition includes CPU Benchmark, GPU Compute Benchmark, and Online Results Management. Users can upload results to the Geekbench Browser and share them; accounts let them track results across devices. Benchmark charts aggregate results from real-user environments. Geekbench runs on Android, iOS, macOS, Windows, and Linux. Geekbench 7 Pro costs $99, paid once per user and adds command-line automation, standalone operation from portable storage or a network drive, and local result saving. Pro is licensed for commercial use. Support includes a community, email support, and a knowledge base. It is made by Primate Labs Inc., founded in 2004.
NVIDIA FrameView
NVIDIA FrameView is a free Windows utility for measuring graphics performance, latency, and power use. It records frame rates, frame times, power, and performance per watt, and can capture PC latency alongside FPS without additional hardware. A configurable overlay shows live metrics, while benchmark results are saved to log files. FrameView uses PresentMon for analytics and supports single-GPU systems from NVIDIA, AMD, and Intel. Supported graphics APIs include DirectX 9–12, OpenGL, and Vulkan. It can capture Universal Windows Platform apps and applications running full-screen or windowed. Power reporting differs by manufacturer: NVIDIA GPUs provide chip and board measurements, while AMD GPUs provide chip power only. Correct AMD power measurement requires PCAT or another interposer setup. Windows 10 and later are supported. DX9 and DX10 games do not show the overlay, although their capture data is logged. NVIDIA also lists Battlefield 6 anticheat as incompatible with the overlay. The redesigned overlay requires Multi-Plane Overlay support, and presentation latency can increase when MPO is unavailable or disabled.
