In their own words

GEGI

GEGI is student attendance software for schools and universities that replaces roll call with mobile check-in. Students can scan a classroom QR code, use a QR code with location verification, or check in through geolocation alone. GEGI validates geolocation against the relevant campus or clinical site, then calculates attendance from check-in, check-out, and break times. Instructors can create QR codes for one or more sessions and adjust their lifetime in clinical rotation settings. Attendance records appear instantly in faculty logs, synchronize with dashboards, and feed reporting in the SIS. The student app also provides profile access, tuition payment, and support contact options. Its API can manage student records, upload documents, log attendance and grades, and request attendance, grades, users, roles, and permissions. Check-In Reports show active and completed sessions, including successful and unsuccessful attempts. Canvas imports assignments and grades, with stated limits on grading types and fractional points. Android, iOS, web, and API access are listed.

QRaten

QRaten is an academic attendance platform for organizing users, courses, sub-courses, QR attendance sessions, and reports. Teachers create classes; students mark attendance by scanning a QR code or entering a code that expires after a limited time. When the device is offline, QRaten stores activity locally, queues actions, and synchronizes them when connectivity returns. The site says this local data is encrypted and synchronization conflicts are resolved automatically. Reports can be exported as Excel or PDF files and filtered by course, date, role, status, and academic period. Student, teacher, assistant, and substitute roles have role-based permissions. QRaten is delivered as an installable Progressive Web App, not through app stores; the installation guide lists Android 8+, iOS 16.4+, Windows, Mac, and Linux through compatible browsers. The Free Plan includes attendance, personal history, alerts, and offline syncing. Pro adds institutional course and user management, advanced roles, reports, analytics, integrations, onboarding, and priority support; it is listed as free for a limited time. The terms do not promise uninterrupted cloud availability and exclude responsibility for losses from unsynced offline use or misuse.
