In their own words

Geolith

Geolith is a free emulator for the Neo Geo AES, MVS, CD, and CDZ. It supports commercially released AES, MVS, and CD games, and runs on Linux, macOS, BSD, and Windows. Cartridge systems accept TerraOnion .NEO files; CD systems use .bin/.cue and can optionally use .chd images. BIOS files from a recent MAME set are required, with the needed archives varying by system. Geolith synchronizes its CPUs with the video and sound systems, though video event timing is best effort and cycle-accurate rendering remains a longer-term goal. Settings include system and BIOS mode, region, free play, memory card options, palette, and aspect ratio. Supported inputs range from Neo Geo joysticks to a Mahjong Controller, four-player extension board, V-Liner, and the Irritating Maze trackball. The project was written for The Jolly Good API and can be used in multi-emulator frameworks or standalone binaries. It does not support dedicated JAMMA PCB systems or PAL mode; an early Stakes Winner prototype is also unsupported because required data is missing.

MVSPSP

MVSPSP is a free, self-hosted emulator for Neo-Geo MVS and AES systems, with PSP as its supported platform. The repository is public under the GPL-3.0 license. Before playing, you must create a game cache; afterward, some files used to create that cache can be removed from the ZIP archive. The project describes modified builds compatible with HBL and identifies those versions as based on emulator releases 2.2.1 and 2.3.1. Version 2.2.0 added ROM sets supported through MAME 0.119 and bootleg sets supported by MAME Plus!. Build options include save and load states, AdHoc multiplayer, a command list, Japanese UI, and 32-bit UI drawing. AdHoc requires KERNEL_MODE, and the readme recommends disabling 32-bit drawing outside NCDZPSP to reduce memory use. PSP-2000 expanded memory is available when compiled with PSP_SLIM, while a cache remains required. The listed build environment is Cygwin with PSPSDK revision 2318.
