In their own words
GitBreeze
GitBreeze is a Git client with built-in AI that assesses pending files and commits, describes changes, and recommends changes through code review. It works with Git and lets users move between the app and command line. The client previews actions before they occur. Its branch comparison view shows identical and similar commits and helps locate commits missing from one branch. Users can choose pending files and commit them without managing the Git index, compare files with earlier commits, and amend commits. Revert and reset can undo or delete commits, with previews and a choice about keeping working files. Stash tools compare stashed files with working files, show what was saved and when, and can reinstate the index when a stash is popped. Downloads are listed for 64-bit Windows 7 or later, macOS 10.10 or later, and Linux in AppImage format. The free plan is available for any use with no time limits for functionality. The maker says users can try it free on hundreds of commits and describes itself as a small independent vendor in the United Kingdom.
GitUI
GitUI provides a Git GUI-style workflow inside a terminal, controlled with the keyboard and supported by context-based help. Users can inspect changes and commit, amend, stage, unstage, revert, or reset at file, hunk, or line level. It also supports saving, applying, popping, dropping, and inspecting stashes. Branch tools cover creation, renaming, deletion, checkout, and remote branches, alongside pushing and fetching. Users can browse or search the commit log, inspect committed diffs, and work with submodules. Commit workflows support several Git hooks; GPG commit signing is listed with shortcomings. GitUI is free under the MIT License, which includes an as-is warranty disclaimer. Listed platforms are Android, Linux, macOS, and Windows, with desktop platform support listed for Linux, macOS, and Windows. The project README describes GitUI as beta and notes that bugs or missing features may occur, while also describing it as reasonably stable for personal use. It does not fully replace the Git shell, lacks sparse repository support, and requires explicit configuration of an HTTPS credential helper.
