Sumi
Sumi is an experimental, open-source emulator for Nintendo Switch homebrew software, available for Android, Linux, macOS, and Windows. The project is tailored to enthusiasts and developers, with a particular focus on ARMv8 Android devices. Listed features include an intuitive interface, performance optimization, updated technologies, resolution scaling, Vulkan graphics support, and compatibility with legal homebrew games and applications. To get started, users add homebrew games to a game directory and configure emulator settings. The project recommends applying a suitable GPU driver for performance and notes poor support for Mali GPUs. DLC installation has stopped working in many titles; the README points to version 0.3.0 as an alternative for installing DLC. Development is ongoing, with frequent updates planned, and GitHub Releases is the project’s location for the latest version. Sumi is licensed under GNU General Public License version 3.0 or later. Its stated use is limited to legal homebrew content, not pirated or unauthorized game copies.
